The Metropole Orchestra is the worlds largest professional pop and jazz orchestra.Renowned for its wide-ranging abilities, the Metropole Orchestra performs everythingfrom chansons to World music, film scores, rock and pop tunes as well as high-octanejazz.

The collaboration heard on 54 has its roots in the 90s, when Mendoza asked Scofield toplay on his first album. When Mendoza assumed directorship of the Metropole Orchestra,they decided to perform together again.
