Their music has touched many a listener over the years – Haden beginning his career inthe late ‘50s when the young kid with the bass hooked up with Ornette Coleman, whowas then creating never-before –heard –sounds out in LA.

• Jarrett, after playing with Art Blakey and Charles Lloyd, hooked up with Haden and ECMlabel mate, Paul Motian, releasing an album in 1967.

• In 1975 Jarrett released the legendary Koln Concert (4228100672) – the best selling solo jazz piano album in history.
