ABOUT DEPARTMENT

Civil engineers are the principal designers, constructors, operators, and caretakers of many of the constructed

facilities and systems that contribute to the high quality of life enjoyed in the world.

Civil Engineering Department of SNPIT & RC is running graduate and post graduate programs in Civil

Engineering since the year 2009 with innovative, research based, skilled /quality conscious approach. The

branch imparts wide range of technical education tracks starting from fundamentals to advanced

methodologies of civil engineering field. It offers bright and promising career opportunities and professional

advancement. The department of Civil Engineering ensures that the students have the opportunity to work

with latest technologies and equipment along with innovative thinking and to get exposed to prevailing civil

engineering projects on field as well as in industries.

The department currently has 22 full-time faculties, about 570 graduate and 36 post graduate students.

Dr. Neeraj D. Sharma is South Zone GTU P.G. Co-ordinator of Civil Engineering.

Mr. Hiren A. Rathod got Gold Medal from GTU in 2013 For Master of Engineering in Specialization of Construction Engineering & Management.

Ms. Neetu B. Yadav got Gold Medal from GTU in 2014 For Master of Engineering in Specialization of Construction Management.

Mr. Rushabh A. Shah got First Prize in paper presentation in National Conference held at Unjha during January 2014.

Mr. Sandip K. Mistry was felicitated as Nodal Officer by Hon. Vice Chancellor Dr. Akshai Aggarwal, Hon. Ministor of Education, Hon. Higher & Technical Education Shri Bhupendrasingh Chudasma, Dr. Indrajit Patel Co-Ordinator of Vishwakarma Yojana at GTU on 31/12/2014 for his guidance as well as participation in final year students project on “RURBANIZATION” under “VISHVAKARMA YOJNA”.

Mr. Sandip K. Mistry participated in NODAL PARTICIPANT IN VISHWAKARMA YOJANA PHASE-II for GTU.

Mr. Hiren Rathod got 2nd Prize at GIC LDCE for FDP of “ShodhYatra”.
