CONFERENCE CHAIR MESSAGE
Dr Ramon Choi
ASEN “Manufacturing Transportation and Engineering
Applications” serves as platform that aims to help the
scholarly community across nations to explore the critical role
of multidisciplinary innovations for sustainability and growth
of human societies. This conference provides opportunity to
the academicians, practitioners, scientists, and scholars from
across various disciplines to discuss avenues for
interdisciplinary innovations and identify effective ways to
address the challenges faced by our societies globally. The
research ideas and studies that we received for this conference
are very promising, unique, and impactful. I believe these
studies have the potential to address key challenges in various
sub-domains of social sciences and applied sciences.
I am really thankful to our honorable scientific and review
committee for spending much of their time in reviewing the
papers for this event. I am also thankful to all the participants
for being here with us to create an environment of knowledge
sharing and learning. We the scholars of this world belong to
the elite educated class of this society and we owe a lot to
return back to this society. Let‟s break all the discriminating
barriers and get free from all minor affiliations. Let‟s
contribute even a little or single step for betterment of society
and welfare of humanity to bring prosperity, peace and
harmony in this world. Stay blessed.
Thank you.

The Use of Lexical Features in Promoting Sales -A
Linguistic Analysis
Dr. Barnali Chetia*
Abstract The promotion of sales is significantly dependent on the words of
the advertisements. The choice of words in the world of advertising is very cautious and skillful. The aim of the copywriter is to make the information
of a product or service accessible to the consumer and also to persuade them
to buy the product or use the service. The art of persuasion requires
feelings, emotions, motivation and accurate arguments. This paper aims to identify and analyse the various lexical features used by English
advertisements (marketing communication) in a multilingual setting like
India, by examining especially the lexical features through a detailed
discussion of the collected data. In this process, data has been collected and analysed from a sample of 250 advertisements with taglines. On the basis of
the linguistic analysis of the sample, the features identified and categorized
have been discussed in the paper.

The Local Production or Local Consumption and the
Cooperative Relationship Between Japanese Sake
Brewers And Rice Farmers
Susumu Yamaguchi*
Abstract The aim of this study was to investigate the mechanism of
focusing on the partnership between Japanese sake brewers and rice farmers. Firstly, I investigated the features of the cooperative relationship
between the brewers and farmers. It then examined how the partnership is
built and shaped over time. Finally, how the partnership affects each
agency\'s interpretations and behaviors was examined.

Bestination: A Buddhist Approach to Understanding
the Motivation of Sustainable Entrepreneurs
Navarat Sachayansrisakul *
Abstract Entrepreneurs would like to start their businesses so that their businesses would grow to reach a happy and a safe destination whereby the
rewards or the satisfaction are sustainable across different generations of
stakeholders, families, and also the communities as a whole. Entrepreneurs
have a myriad of motivation to start their businesses. Many people become entrepreneurs because it is the „thing‟ whether or not they aspire to be one.
Meanwhile, some entrepreneurs like the mum-preneurs prefer to have their
own businesses for flexibility, or some social entrepreneurs like to run their
businesses for a „certain‟ good cause, some senior-preneurs would like to have a sense of financial security for their retirement, and other immigrant
entrepreneurs may choose to become their own bosses as they could not
find the jobs in the market due to the language barriers. Again, the list of reasons for the entrepreneurs to start their businesses could be endless and
varied from one individual to another. Consequently, if their motivation is
better understood, the more specific strategies could be developed to
improve sustainability for entrepreneurs. Many studies have previously indicated that one important influencing factor on the entrepreneurs‟
motivation to start their businesses and business choices is the attitude to
work, faith and outlook to lives.

Compared Probability of Project Completion
Duration Evaluating by Program Evaluation and
Review Technique and a Project Network Algorithm
Dr. ChiaLing Huang1, Wei-Chang Yeh*
2
Abstract The Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) is one of the mainstream tools for project management since it was developed in the
late 1950s, to evaluate the probability of a project‟s completion with a
specific duration. An approximate estimation for the project completion
duration because PERT uses the expected activity time to estimate each activity completion time in determining the approximate project completion
duration. To enhance the disadvantage of the approximate estimation, an
efficient algorithm to evaluate the realistic probability for project
completion at a specific duration developed by the authors has demonstrated in this paper. A comparison of the evaluating results obtained for the
probability of the project completion duration in designed the project
network by both algorithms, i.e., PERT and the algorithm developed by the authors, has studied in this paper.

Single Walled Carbon Nanotubes Based Biosensors
for Food Control
Jinyoung Lee1*, A Abdus Sobhan

3
Abstract The goal of this research was to develop two types of single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT)-based biosensors to detect either
Yersinia enterocolitica or a peanut allergen in commercial food products.
The detection principle of the SWCNT-based biosensor was based upon the
specific binding of target materials with antibodies (pAbs) that were linked to SWCNTs embedded between the gold electrodes on the surface of silicon
wafer. The resistance difference (ΔR) was calculated via linear sweep
voltammetry using a potentiostat. The ΔR of biosensor was significantly
increased after each step-wise fabrication of biosensors such as mounting of SWCNTs on the silicon wafer, the addition of 1-pyrene-butanoic acid,
succinimidyl ester (PBASE) as a linker, and the immobilization of pAbs on
the biosensor. The limits of detection (LODs) of biosensors for both Y. enterocolitica in Baek Kimchi and Ara h1 in processed foods containing
peanuts were determined to be 104 CFU/mL and 103 ng/L for Y.
enterocolitica and Ara h1, respectively. The microscopic structures of
biosensors bound with Y. enterocolitica and Ara h1 were observed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy
(TEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM), respectively. The developed
biosensors were exposed to commercial food products and successfully
detected Y. enterocolitica in Baek Kimchi and peanut allergen (Ara h1) in peanut containing foods.
