New Sports Club Proposal Form
IntroductionSo you’d like to propose a new sports club for the university? Fantastic! City University London’s (CUL) sports programme is facilitated by the university’s Sport & Leisure Services department. A sports “club” consists of all the teams supported by the department that are of the same sport (regardless of gender) however your club is permitted to begin with just one team. Before proposing a new sports club please ensure the sport you wish to play competitively is not already on offer by checking the department’s webpage.
Proposals may only be submitted between 1 st September and 23 rd October 2015. Any submissions before or after this time window will not be considered. Please submit to [email protected]. Before submitting this form please ensure you have contacted the Sport & Leisure Services Department first to discuss your application.
If your proposal is successful Sport & Leisure Services will aid your club with sourcing equipment, facilities, coaching, matches, recruiting and retaining members and more!
TipsTo give your proposal that extra edge please complete this form as fully as you can. Incomplete forms are very likely to be rejected. You will be asked to consider some of the following:
• The equipment, facilities and funding your club will require to run.• The amount of interest there’ll be from other CUL students to partake in this
sport competitively.• Events / activities other than training and matches that your club could
provide for its members. • If your club will be able to comply with the requirement that it is open to all
CUL students to join, and it will not be aimed at a specific group of students (e.g. restricted to Cass Business School students only).
