ABSTRACT
1. INTRODUCTION:
For any mobile user, this project is aimed at developing an application that incorporates both location and data call technology, steering you towards the very best activities that your city has to offer. The customer who is new to city wants to know the details about particular location. For that customer this is the useful way to find details. The locations are like restaurants, theatres, hotels, tourist places etc. For the selected category, the application provides the full information (address, contact number and other information) for any selected option. The City Search is an online guide that provides information about businesses in the categories of dining, entertainment, retail, travel, and professional services in cities.
The objective of the City Search is to provide details about the locations in a particular city selected by customer. The goal is to be achieved by implementing this project in customer business. The scope of the project is to identify the areas considered for automation in customer business as part of this project and areas not considered

Future Scope:
The future scope of the project is that the application locates the place (CITY LOCATION) where the user is and gives him a route map to the destination place using the G.P.S. available in the mobile.
Apart from selecting the options from the list, the user can also give query (i.e., either city name or location name) using voice recognition system.
3. RESULTS:
For any user who is going to a new city and needs some information regarding the city to make his stay more comfortable, he may want to know about various hotels that provide accommodation and other details based on the purpose of his stay that can be entertainment or educational tour or can be any other.
So any user who has got a mobile with this (CITY SEARCH) application can easily get those details. For example, a user who stays in Mumbai wants to go to Hyderabad for his business trip. And our application provides the user with a very easy user friendly interface where the user can first of all select the city of his choice from the available list of cities. Once he selects a particular city then the list of locations will be shown and he can select the location. So once he selects a location then available categories will be shown, the categories can be Hotels, Restaurants, Cinemas etc. So once he selects a particular category then the application will provide the user with available options for that category. So he can
choose any of the option and view its details like address, contact number and email address. The user once gets the details displayed on his mobile can check for the address or can even call to the given mobile number form his mobile or he can even mail regarding his query to the address specified if the mobile device is provided with internet connection.
If there’s some problem with sending the mail to the destined user, the mobile device automatically saves it to the drafts of the mail system.
CONCLUSION:
The City Search is an online mobile application that provides information about businesses in the various categories available in the city. Here the categories involve businesses like Dining, Entertainment, Retails, Travel and Professional Services in the city. Various options under these categories will be displayed to the user based on the query.
