ELECTION NEWSLETTER GENERAL ELECTION
(ELECCION GENERAL) Registered Voters residing within the boundaries of the City of Cibolo will have various choices to make this fall in the City’s General & Special Elections. The following offic-es/candidates will be on the General Election ballot:

Guadalupe County will be using Vote Centers for the November 2, 2021 Election. Any Guadalu-pe County registered voter can cast their ballot at any of the 35 Election Day locations listed on page 4 regardless of the precinct in which they reside.
El Condado de Guadalupe utilizara “Vote Centers” para las elecciones que se llebaran a cabo el 2 de Noviembre del 2021 Cualquier votante registrado en el condado de Guadalupe podrá emitir su voto en cualquiera de los 35 sitios como previsto en la pagina 4.
CHARTER AMENDMENTS
PROPOSITION 1—Shall Sections 1.03, 1.04, 4.01 (5) (D), 4.04 (6), 4.05 (3), 5.02 (2) €, 5.04, 12.05 and 14.10 (1) of the City Charter be amended to require submission to the qualified voters of the City to elimi-nate provisions which have become inoperative because they have been superseded by state law,; re-place obsolete references and update terminology to current legal usage.
PROPOSITION 2—Shall Section 3.01 (2) and (3) of the City Charter be amended to revise the seven (7) single member council districts to four (4) council member districts and three (3) at large council members.
PROPOSITION 3—Shall section 3.01 (3) of the City Charter be amended to authorize the increase of the number of terms the Mayor and/or Council may serve in the same office from two (2) to three (3) consecu-tive three (3) year terms and allow a Councilmember whose termed out of office to run for Mayor without any delay.
PROPOSITION 4—Shall section 3.03 (1) of the City Charter be amended to provide compensation to the members of City Council at a rate of $100 per month and compensation to the mayor for his services at a rate of $150 per month to take effect on the first day after current members are re-elected to their position or upon newly elected members at the next general election.
PROPOSITION 5— Shall section 3.04 (2) of the City Charter be amended to make clear that the Mayor Pro Tem shall be elected annually at the first regular meeting in December.
PROPOSITION 6—Shall sections 3.06 of the City Charter be amended to clearly identify the Powers of the City Council that are authorized under current state law or City Charter.
PROPOSITION 7—Shall section 4.01 (1) of the City Charter be amended to clarify the required qualifica-tions for the position of City Manager.
PROPOSITION 8—Shall section 4.02 of the City Charter be amended to clarify that the City Secretary while reporting to the City Manager for administrative purposes, may only be disciplined or removed from office by the City Council.
PROPOSITION 9—Shall section 4.03 (2) of the City Charter be amended to increase the term of the Mu-nicipal Judge from a two (2) year term to a three (3) year term to coincide with the Mayor’s term of office.
PROPOSITION 10—Shall section 6.13 (1) of the City Charter be amended to clarify the length of time sig-natures are valid for a petition for Initiative to make it consistent with Recall and Referendum provisions.
PROPOSITION 11—Shall section 7.13 (2) (D) of the City Charter be added so that if City Council wants to use general obligation bonds that have been issued but not expended, Council shall hold a public hearing to allow voters to provide input on whether the funds can be used for any other purpose.
PROPOSITION 12—Shall section 11.05 (1) of the City Charter be amended to revise the number of mem-bers to the City Charter Commission from ten (10) to no less than seven (7) and no more than fifteen (15).

Parade begins at 10 a.m.
Procession starts at the corner of Borgfeld Road and Cibolo Valley
Drive heading down Main Street towards City Hall.

Parade Application
Please come join the City of Cibolo for the 8th Annual Holiday Parade. The parade will take place at on Saturday, Dec. 11,
2021 at 10:00 am. The parade entries can start staging at 8:00 am. Judging will take place at 9:15 am. We will notify your
group of the parade lineup by Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021. Line up will also be posted on the city website (www.cibolotx). The pa-
rade route will start Cibolo Valley Dr. and Borgfeld Rd and end up at Cibolo City Hall. Please fill out the application and turn it in
