Cf3O7(P The big move fronf the 72-year-old pubUc library on Farwell Street to the middot new facility at 400 Eau Claire Street is t~ntatively scheduled to begin Oct 23 according to John Proctor library administrator

If this date is not changed the library will be closed from Oct 21-31 and will open at its new location Nov 1

These dates are about one-week behind what had been expected Proctor said

The Jaycees have agreed to help organize the move and well be using an awshyful lot of volunteers Proctor said _ Anyoneinterested in volshy

linteering should contact the library and leave a name and te1ephonemiddotnumber

Library cardholders can

also help In-ariother way Proctor said If they check out books beforemiddotOct21 and return them after the new libraryopens the number of books to be moved will be reduced

We hope that isnt done too extensively however because we might be swamped with books being returned to the new lishybrary he said

Although the secondfloor of the facility is almost completed theres quite a lot to do yet on the first floor according to Procshytor Grand opening of the $3shymillion library which will be two and a half times as large as the present facilshyity is planned for about Nov 20
