Lincoln & York is a recognised City & Guilds training centre and runs the Level 2 Barista Skills course every month. The two day course is open to all Lincoln & York customers,

customers of customers, local businesses and the general public.

Through a mix of both practical and classroom based learning, you will be taught:

How to craft the perfect espresso, cappuccino, latte, filter coffee, tea, hot chocolate and smoothie with mentoring from our team of coffee experts

The story behind the coffee bean, the tea leaf and the cocoa bean – how and where they are grown, how they are processed and the journey they go onto get to our cup

Key customer service, health and safety, machine cleaning and calibration skills

The coffee roasting process including a tour of our roastery to see it first hand

The course takes place at our coffee roastery which is based on the Elsham Wold Industrial Estate just down the road from the Humber Bridge, the full address is:

Dates & Times

The course takes place from 9am–5pm over the course of two days (usually Wednesday/Thursday). Courses will take place on the following dates (subject to availability):

Food Lunch is provided on both days along with hot and cold drinks.

Accommodation If you are travelling long distance, we would recommend staying over at one of the local B&B’s. The Rookery Farm Guest house is just five minutes away from our roastery, failing that we have The Premier Inn or Travelodge all based approx.15 minutes away by car.
