Athletic Department Announces 2009-2010

Scholar Ballers

Glendora, CA (Athletics) -- The Citrus College Athletic Department is pleased to announce their

2009-2010 Scholar Ballers. The Fighting Owls boasted 55 Scholar Ballers this year, the highest

number in the three years that Citrus has

been participating in the program.

The Scholar Baller program places an

emphasis on the athletes’ performance in

the classroom. Scholar Ballers must

maintain a GPA of 3.0 or greater to earn

the honor. Athletes that are named

Scholar Ballers get the honor of wearing

a Scholar Baller patch on their uniforms.

Since beginning the program in the Fall

of 2007, the Citrus College Athletic

Department has increased its number of

honorees every year. The 55 athletes this

season, including five who earned the

honor in more than one sport, was a program best.
