MODULAR TRANSMISSION*

Both in the city and off-road, the CITROËN C4 AIRCROSS lets you choose your driving style, depending on the road conditions and your mood. With the driving mode selector, the integral transmission system switches easily from two-wheel drive (2WD) to four-wheel drive (4WD ON DEMAND). In the city and on dry tar roads, the 2WD mode combines minimum fuel consumption with maximum manoeuvrability.

The recommended and most commonly used transmission mode is 4WD ON DEMAND. With its latest-generation transmission system, the CITROËN C4 AIRCROSS can be driven in 4WD ON DEMAND mode all the time: the torque distribution between the front and rear axles is calculated electronically depending on the surface, to ensure maximum safety, as well as optimised driveability and road holding at all times. And if conditions are really tough, the LOCK mode gives the car maximum grip. In all circumstances, the power-assisted steering is precise and effortless.

*The first impression onboard the CITROËN C4 AIRCROSS is comfort. The equipment and materials exude elegance and harmony, with an option of smooth and perforated leather and soft touch features throughout the cabin. The audio system can be operated from the steering wheel, as can the cruise control and the Bluetooth hands-free kit.

The optional panoramic glass roof fi lls the cabin with light, both in the front and the rear. At night, the atmosphere is warm and muted in the soft amber glow of the LED light guides (which have a dimmer) running along either side of the roof.

To enhance on-board comfort, the CITROËN C4 AIRCROSS also boasts the latest technology. You can enjoy superior sound from the

audio system with a built-in MP3 decoder, with up to six speakers. The Bluetooth hands-free kit1 includes voice command, so you can make phone calls without touching the buttons on your mob i le phone. P lug your compatible handheld music, video, and multimedia players into the auxiliary and USB outlets, cleverly located under the front central armrest, and the system will recognise them instantly.

With the WiFi box, available as an accessory, passengers can connect and use their electronic devices at the same time. The box runs on a 3G/3G+ Internet SIM card, which you can purchase at an Internet Service Provider of your choice.

*In the CITROËN C4 AIRCROSS, there is a strong emphasis on safety and driving aids.The CITROËN C4 AIRCROSS offers the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and hill-start assist, which works in forward and reverse gear (only on the 4WD model). And to make parking easier, the vehicle is also fi tted with rear sensors.

The CITROËN C4 AIRCROSS has plenty of storage space. In the front, there’s a two-tier storage compartment under the central armrest containing the USB, auxiliary and 12V ports and a storage tray. The glovebox is especially generous, and is ventilated on models with automatic climate control. Storage nets and pockets on the back of the front seats provide storage for the rear passengers. The boot capacity (384 litres with the full-size spare

wheel) can be easily increased by manually folding down all, or some of the rear seats. Once the rear seats have been folded down, the boot has an almost fl at bottom that can easily accommodate all kinds of bulky objects. The rear seat includes a ski fl ap ideal for long objects. A robust, waterproof, non-slip boot box, available as an accessory, is specially designed to transport all kinds of objects without damaging the boot, and is made of recyclable materials. The

hitch-mounted bike rack, also available as an accessory, has been designed with top quality materials and with safety in mind. Loading and fastening bikes is easy, avoids contact with the bodywork and doesn’t impede access to the boot.
