A NEW DRIVING EXPERIENCE

Engage reverse gear and the rear parking sensors areautomatically activated using, ultrasound to signal the proximity

of an obstacle. Invaluable for modern-day city driving!Rear parking assistance can be specified on VSX models.

Centrally mounted operating controls for the ElectricSliding Rear Doors are conveniently located above therear view mirror and beside the centrally mounted doorlocking control, within easy reach for the driver and frontseat passenger.

Electrically adjustable door mirrors feature across the

range for added convenience, while on VSX models, the

mirrors automatically retract when locking the vehicle.

Cruise control allows the driver to set a speed for the caron the open road, which will then be maintained by thevehicle without use of the pedals.The system also nowcomes equipped with an innovative Speed Limiter, thisallows the driver to set a maximum speed for the car

which can then not be exceeded without deliberateintervention from the driver. Standard on VSX Auto and

optional on all other models.

Electrically adjustable heated leather seats offer a memoryfunction, allowing drivers to programme their ideal seating

position, while the 3 heating levels ensure the perfect drivingenvironment. Electrically adjustable heated leather upholstery

The Citroen C8 is fitted with Air Conditioning to

ensure the perfect temperature at all times. On VSX

models tri-zone Climate Control air conditioning

is on offer so that different temperatures can be

chosen for driver and front passengers with

additonal rear compartment air vents with

adjustable airflow. The controls for the system

are centrally located on the dashboard for ease

of use by both the driver and front seat passenger.

In automatic mode, the system constantly regulates

and maintains the chosen temperature by

monitoring exterior light levels and cabin conditions,

this ensures that the ideal temperature is maintained

at all times without any need for adjustment.

The New Citroën C8 has been designed with driving

enjoyment and simplicity in mind. Advanced multiplex

technology, which allows various electronic functions to be

linked within the cabin, excellent ergonomics, various steering

mounted controls and large, easily legible instrument displays all

combine to make the driving experience much more intuitive

and pleasurable.

Totally integrated into thedashboard of the vehicle,

the NaviDrive systemcombines all the functions

of a Radio CD, Satellitenavigation, and Hands free

integrated telephone.Optional on VSX models.

In order to ensure that all ofthis information, such as a

navigation itinerary, is easilylegible, the optional

NaviDrive system alsoincludes a large 7” colour

screen situated centrally onthe upper dashboard.

With 8-speakers fitted throughout the cabin, the Citroën C8 ensures perfect sound reproduction from the music system. The

volume is also speed sensitive allowing everyone within the car to enjoy the sound at all times.

All the functions of the optionalNaviDrive system are controlledvia a single, easy to usecommand unit, convenientlylocated on the centre console.

With more than fifty compartments, the C8

abounds with all the storage you could ever need.

And although the interior is amply spacious, we’ve

still used some rather clever design devices to

provide a positive plethora of compartments to

enhance your travelling experience. You could

almost take the kitchen sink with you!

For example, there’s the up-front shuttered

compartments, the 7.5 litre area for CDs, the

spaces for the likes of glasses, keys, mobile phone,

pens and the capacious door panel pockets. And all

that’s just in the front seating area! Such attention

to detail really does set the Citroën C8 apart from

the rest of the pack and is symptomatic of the

supreme attention to detail you can expect.

As you might expect, the Citroën C8’s boot has

been designed with optimum capacity and

practicality firmly in mind. As well as a parcel shelf,

the boot is fitted with useful floor and

pillar-mounted lashing eyes. Then there’s the boot

net that you can position horizontally, to secure

your cargo to the floor, or as a hammock. And

because the seating is so flexible, you can increase

the luggage storage area from the standard 225

litres (with the rear seats in situ) up to a whopping

2,948 litres.

Check it out. The Citroën C8 provides a host of

storage compartments.Your only problem may be

remembering where you put what!

As well as the front passenger glovebox, there are two extra gloveboxes conveniently housed in the upper part of the dashboard withanti-noise and anti-slip linings.

The front and rear door panels each contain a spaciouscompartment which can, for instance, hold a can, a 1.5 litre bottleor A4 documents.

The lower central console is home to a multi-use pivoting drawer.

There are two cup-holders, a removableashtray and a cigar lighter that doubles as a 12v power socket. At the bottom

of the drawer is an air-conditioned section for keeping those cans

deliciously cool.

The front passenger glovebox is smart and functional.

PARTICULATE FILTER

The HDi engine technology on offer in the

Citroën C8 is designed to minimise any impact

on the environment through lower emissions and

superb fuel economy. Certain C8 HDi models

can also be fitted with the ground-breaking

Particulate Filter System. The filter traps many of

the harmful par ticles responsible for the

generation of black smoke and periodically

eliminates them by burning them at very high

temperatures.

Combining performance with a responsibility

towards the environment, the Citroën C8 engines

can rival the best in their class.

Advanced HDi high-pressure common rail diesel

technology is recognised as one of the leaders in

the sector and offers the perfect combination

between power, economy, flexibility and

quietness. The 2.0HDi engine in the Citroën C8

produces 110bhp as well as an extremely

impressive 270Nm of torque from just

2,500rpm.

GEARBOXES

The Citroën C8 is equipped with the choice of

5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic

gearboxes.The dash mounted gearlever is ideally

positioned for precise changes, offering

responsive acceleration and power at your

finger tips. The automatic gearbox offers a

sequential gear change function and is available

on VSX models.

When it comes to airbags, C8 is streets ahead of

the competition. As a standard across the range,

there’s an impressive total of six. The driver’s and

front passenger’s have two levels of activation

according to the force of the impact and the front

passenger’s can also be independently de-activated

if a rear-facing child seat is in situ. Front seat chest

protection is ensured by two front lateral airbags

and the C8 also features as standard two full length

side window curtain airbags, running the full length

of the cabin they protect the heads of outer

passengers in all three rows.

Once under way and travelling at over 10 km/h, theNew C8 automatically locks the boot and all thedoors so occupants and also baggage arecompletely secure.And there’s an additional buttonin the front overhead console that controls thecentral locking function.

Needless to say, this automated central locking

function is completely adaptable and can be de-

activated at any time by the driver or adult front

passenger via the central console. A message on

the multi-function central display indicates the

prevailing central locking status.

The Citroën C8 offers automatic headlamps on VSX models,switching on automatically in poor light or in heavy rain for perfectvisibility at all times. Another useful feature are the “guide me home”headlamps which can be selected to remain on for 30 seconds afteryou leave the car to guide your way in poorly lit locations. AdvancedXenon lights are also an option on VSX Auto models.

In the event of sudden and strong deceleration the hazardlights are automatically activated, giving the drivers behind atimely warning.They are de-activated automatically as soon asthe vehicle speeds up again.

All versions are equipped with a useful additional rearview mirror,perfect for keeping an eye on rear seat passengers while stillremaining focussed on the road.

Visibility, both to see and also be seen, is of great

importance to driving safety. The lighting of the

Citroën C8 has been designed to offer

exceptional visibility in all conditions.The complex

surface headlamps also incorporate integrated

front fog lights, this all combines to ensure that

the C8 offers strong, even lighting at all times.The

automatic headlamps on VSX models are

combined with rain sensitive front wipers and

constantly monitor light levels automatically.

The large glass area of the cabin offers the driver

a clear view of the road around them. Large

electrically adjustable mirrors are offered on all

models. An electrochrome rearview mirror on

VSX models serves to eliminate glare for better

visibility at night. Automatic hazard warning lights

and a third high level brake light also feature

across the range.

You’re in the driving seat and you’re in control.

In fact, it’s never been easier to be in complete

control with the New Citroën C8.

Electronic Stability Programme (ESP)

ESP shows its full worth when cornering.

The on-board Electronic Control Unit, ECU,

monitors the progress of the vehicle through a

bend and ensures complete stability and control by

instantly adjusting the engine revs and braking

system, if required. It can prove to be invaluable for

those momentary lapses of concentration or when

driving an unfamiliar route. ESP comes as standard

across the range.

Traction control

This comes into play when pulling away on poor

road surfaces when getting a grip can prove to be

a problem. If any of the wheel sensors detect the

first signs of a skid, the brake is automatically

applied at just the right level to alleviate the

problem and supply optimum vehicle response.

Traction control is linked to the ESP system.

Emergency Braking Assistance (EBA)

EBA comes as standard across the range.

Research shows that in an emergency situation

many drivers don’t use the brakes to their full

capacity. EBA cleverly compensates for this by first

detecting whether the brakes have been suddenly

and sharply applied. It then automatically operates

the brakes to their full force and at the same time

activates the rear hazard warning lights. And all in

the blink of an eye.

ABS with Electronic Braking Distribution

The Antilock Braking System (ABS) constantly

monitors and adjusts braking pressure to avoid

locking the wheels.Working in tandem with the

ABS, EBD automatically adjusts braking power to

each of the wheels to avoid skidding or spinning

on the road. ABS with EBD is standard across

the range.
