Cisco Unified Communications Self Care Portal This document describes how to use Unified Communications Self Care portal to configure user settings for your Cisco Unified IP phones and Jabber Devices. Using Unified Communications Self Care portal, you can configure settings such as speed dial numbers, contact lists, phone services, and voicemail notifications. Self Care Portal Login The Unified Communications Self Care portal uses a web-based interface that will require you to enter a web address in your browser. The web address is phone.uwp.edu. [Note – you must be on the University of Wisconsin-Parkside campus network or using a VPN connection if not on the campus network.] You will be prompted to enter a username and password. The login credentials are the same as your computer login and password. Once username and password have been entered, click the green Sign In button.

ThisdocumentdescribeshowtouseUnifiedCommunicationsSelfCareportaltoconfigureusersettingsforyourCiscoUnifiedIPphonesandJabberDevices.UsingUnifiedCommunicationsSelfCareportal,youcanconfiguresettingssuchasspeeddialnumbers,contactlists,phoneservices,andvoicemailnotifications.

SelfCarePortalLoginTheUnifiedCommunicationsSelfCareportalusesaweb-basedinterfacethatwillrequireyoutoenterawebaddressinyourbrowser.Thewebaddressisphone.uwp.edu.

[Note–youmustbeontheUniversityofWisconsin-ParksidecampusnetworkorusingaVPNconnectionifnotonthecampusnetwork.]

Youwillbepromptedtoenterausernameandpassword.Thelogincredentialsarethesameasyourcomputerloginandpassword.Onceusernameandpasswordhavebeenentered,clickthegreenSignInbutton.

Eachtabcontainsalinktodifferentoptionsthatyoucanconfigure.Thetabsareasfollows:

• Phones—Thesettingsunderthistaballowyoutoviewandconfigureyourphonesettingssuchasspeeddialnumbers,ringsettings,callhistory,andcallforwardingsettings.

• IM&Availability—ThesettingsunderthistaballowyoutosetupyourDoNotDisturbandIM&Presencestatus.

• GeneralSettings—Thesettingsunderthistaballowyoutoconfiguresettingssuchasuserlocalesandpasswords.

Note:SomesettingsthatappearinthisdocumentmaynotappearwhenyousetupyourphoneinUnifiedCommunicationsSelfCareportalduetophonecapabilitiesandUniversityofWisconsin-Parksidesecurityparameters.

PhonesThesettingsthatappearunderthePhonestaballowyoutoviewandconfiguresettingsforeachofyourCiscoUnifiedIPPhonesandJabberdevices.ThePhonestabissplitintothreemainsections:

• MyPhones—UnderMyPhones,youcanviewasummaryofallofyourphonesandaddnewphones.

• PhoneSettings—UnderPhoneSettings,youcanconfigurephonesettingssuchasspeeddialnumbers,ringsettings,andvoicemailnotifications.

• Callforwarding—UnderCallforwarding,youcanconfigurecallforwardingoptionsforyourphones.

MyPhonesTheMyPhoneswindowdisplaysasummarizedviewofyourcompanyphonesandanyadditionalphoneswhereyoucanbereachedwhenyouarenotatyourdesk.TheMyPhoneswindowissplitbetweentwomainheadings:

CompanyPhonesTheCompanyPhonessectiondisplaysphonesthathavebeenprovidedbyUniversityofWisconsin-Parkside.IntheCompanyPhoneswindow,youcaneditphoneandlinedescriptionsforyourcompanyphones.ThesettingsthatyouapplyunderPhoneSettingsapplyexclusivelytocompanyownedphones.

ModifyCompanyPhoneSettingsAddaDescriptiontoPhone

ClickthedesiredphoneintheCompanyPhonessectionyouwishtomodify.Twooptions,EditandSettings,willbeavailable.

ByselectingEdit,youcanenteradescriptionthatallowsyoutoeasilyidentifythephone.

ByselectingSettings,youcansetupSpeedDials,Services,ReviewCallHistoryandPhoneContacts(personaldirectory).ThisoptionwilldirectyoutothePhoneSettingssectionoftheSelfCareportal.

Note:SomefeaturesinthePhoneSettingssectionmaybedeactivatedbyphoneadministrator.PleasecontactyourCiscophoneadministratorforadditionalinformation.

SetUpSpeedDials

Speeddialingallowsyoutoenteranindexcode,pressabutton,orselectaphonescreenitemtoplaceacall,ratherthandialingthenumbermanually.

Step1:ClickthePhonestab.

Step2:ClickPhoneSettings.

Step3:ClickSpeedDialNumbersinthePhoneSettingssection.

Step4:ClickAddNewSpeedDiallinkinSpeedDialNumberssection.TheAddSpeedDialdialogboxappears.

Step5:IntheNumberfield,enterthecontact'snameorphonenumber.UnifiedCommunicationsSelf-CarePortalsearchesthecompanydirectory.

Youcanonlysearchthecompanydirectoryifnetworkadministratorhasenabledyouwithaccess.

Step6:IntheLabeltextbox,enteradescriptionforthespeeddialnumber.Yourphonewillusethedescriptiontodisplaythespeeddialnumber.

Step7:IntheSpeedDialtextbox,assignaspeeddialnumber.Youmustenterthephonenumbersexactlyhowyouwoulddialthemfromyourphone[4-digitsforinternalcontacts,9+7digitsforexternalnumbers,etc.].

Step8:ClickSave.YourphonewillresetasitisupdatedwithyournewSpeedDialentries.

Note:Youcanconfigureupto99speeddials.Youcanseeonlyasmanyspeed-dialnumbersasyouhavespeed-dialbuttons.Forexample,youadd15speed-dialnumbersintheSelfCareportalbutyourphonehasthreeavailablespeeddialbuttons.Youcanseeonlythefirstthreespeed-dialnumbersfromthelist

AccessingSpeedDials

Therearethreewaystoaccessspeeddialsonyourphone,dependinguponhowyourspeeddialsaresetup:

Ifaspeeddialisassociatedwithalinebutton:

• Pressthedesiredlineappearancebuttontocallyourparty.

Ifspeeddialsareassociatedwithindexnumbers(numerals):

1. Leaveyourphoneonthehook(onspeaker)andenterthenumberofthedesiredspeeddial.2. PresstheSpeedDialsoftkeytobegindialingthecall.ImmediatelyafteryoupressSpeedDial,

youcanpickupthehandsetifyouwishtogooffspeaker.IftheSpeedDialsoftkeyisnotavailableonthemainphonescreen,presstheMore(…)softkeyuntiltheSpeedDialsoftkeyisavailable.

Navigationcluster()NavigationringandSelectbutton—UsetheouterringofnavigationclustertoaccessallSpeedDialssetupinSelfCareportal.Pressthetopwhitedotonouterringtoaccessthislist.

Services

TheServicesoptionallowsyoutoaddphoneservicessuchasacompanydirectorytoyourCiscoUnifiedIPphonesandJabberapplications.Thelistofavailableservicesdependsonwhichphonemodelyouareconfiguring.

Toaddaservice,performthefollowingsteps:

Step1:ClickthePhonestab.

Step2:ClickPhoneSettings.

Step3:ClickServicestoexpandtheServicesview.

Step4:Dothefollowing:

• Ifyourphonesarelinked,clickAddnewservice.• Ifyourphonesarenotlinked,selectthephoneforwhichyouwanttoaddaservice,andclick

Addnewservice.

Step5:FromtheServicedrop-downlistbox,selecttheservicethatyouwanttoadd.

Step6:IntheDisplayNametextbox,enterthelabelthatyouwanttousetoidentifytheserviceonyourphones.

Step7:Enteranyrequiredparameters.

Step8:ClickOK.

CallHistory

CallHistoryallowsyoutologmissedcallsforeachofyourphones.Toviewthecallhistoryforeachofyourdesignatedphones,performthefollowingsteps:

Step1:ClickthePhonestab.

Step2:ClickPhoneSettings.

Step3:ClickCallHistory.

Step4:ChecktheLogMissedCallscheckboxforeachphonelinethatyouwanttosavethecallhistory.

Step5:ClickSave.

PhoneContacts(personaldirectory)

Phonecontactsallowyoutostorephonenumbersandemailaddressesforyourpersonalphonecontacts.Fromyourphones,youcanbrowseyourlistofcontactsandplacecallsdirectlyfromthecontactlistwithouthavingtotypeinthenumbereachtime.

Tosetupyourphonecontactlist,performthefollowingsteps:

Step1:ClickthePhonestab.

Step2:Intheleftnavigationpane,clickPhoneSettings.

Step3:ClickCreateNewContact.TheAddNewPhoneContactwindowappears.

Step4:Completethefieldswiththecontactinformationforthecontact.

Step5:ClickOK.

DialNumberfromPersonalContactsDirectory

Step1:PressContactsbuttononphone()

Step2:SelectPersonalDirectoryandsearchforanentry.

Step3:SignintoPersonalDirectory(usinguserIDandPIN).

Step4:Selectthepersonaladdressbookentrythatyouwanttodial.

Step5:PressDial.

AdditionalPhonesUnifiedCommunicationsSelfCarePortalallowsyoutosetupadditionalphonessuchasahomeofficephone,oramobilephone,tothephonesprovidedbyUniversityofWisconsin-Parkside.Additionalphonesprovideanadditionalnumberwhereyoucanbereachedifyouarenotatyourdesk.

YoucanenableyouradditionalphonesforSingleNumberReachaccessibility,Mobilitysoftkeyaccess,orExtendandConnectcontrolbyJabber.However,youcannotconfigurephonesettingsforadditionalphones.

Step2:Intheleftnavigationpane,clickMyPhones.

Step3:UnderAdditionalPhones,clicktheAddNew( )icon.TheAddaNewPhonewindowdisplays.

Step4:Enterthephonenumberandadescriptionforyourphone.

Step5:Optional.IfyouwanttoconfigureSingleNumberReachforthisphone,checktheEnableSingleNumberReachcheckbox.Thisfeatureenablescallersdialingyourbusinessphone(s),toringthedesignatedphoneyouaddedatthesametime.

Step6:Optional.Ifthephoneyouaddedisamobilephone,checktheEnableMovetoMobilecheckbox.ThisfeaturetransfersactivecallsfromyourCiscoIPPhonetothemobilephonebypressingtheMobilitysoftkeybuttononyourCiscoIPPhone.

Step7:Optional.IfyouwantthisphonetobeenabledfortheExtendandConnectfeaturewithCiscoJabber,checktheEnableExtendandConnectcheckbox.

Step8:ClickSave.
