Spring Time is [Almost] Here
Hello, New Jersey! Spring is on its way, which means that there are many, more service projects and socials to take part in! Don’t forget that with service projects come service hours; so be sure to report all of your service hours to your club’s Secretary! This way, you can obtain all of your volunteer hours whenever you need them!
What’s Happening in the District? Featuring Stockton Circle K!
By: Taylor McKay, Stockton Circle K Editor Stockton Circle K started the semester off strong and we have been
racking in our service hours and fundraising efforts efficiently since. On January 18, Stockton Circle K helped make Stockton University’s Martin Luther King Day of Service a success by sponsoring a service project. We hosted various different projects in the event room of our campus center. These projects included making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to donate to the Atlantic City Rescue Mission, sewing tote bags to be donated to the Friends of Fairview Association in Camden, NJ, sewing pillows to be donated to heart disease patients at AtlantiCare Medical Centers, making sock dolls to be donated to the NICU of AtlantiCare Medical Centers, making paracord bracelets to be donated to Operation Gratitude, decorating Valentines Day cards for the residents at Spring Village Senior Living center, and assembling activity books for the children of the Ronald McDonald House. We had over 100 volunteers from the Stockton Community help us in making this day successful. Circle K’er’s here at Stockton are also looking forward to Stockton University’s 4th Annual Relay for Life, which Stockton Circle K hosts, and will be held from April 22-23, 2016. Our committee members are working hard to make sure the event is successful especially as we aim to reach our $100,000 fundraising goal.

What’s Happening in the District?
Recently, our members traveled to Flyers skate zone in Atlantic City
for a fun night of fellowship. Our members have also been working diligently at our bake sale fundraisers, where they spend numerous hours tabling and convincing other students here at Stockton University to buy some of our delicious treats such as red velvet cupcakes with homemade cream cheese frosting or some delicious vegan brownies. We are also counting down the days until District Convention and we are looking forward to reuniting with the rest of the District soon!

A Letter From the Editor
Hello everyone! Hope all of your spring semester courses and activities are off to a great start!
Remember that in this gloriously freezing/randomly warm season there are still numerous volunteer
opportunities that you can take part in! Clubs across the NJ District have been busy planning service
projects, conventions, and socials for the semester ahead! So get involved and help out in your
community!
I am so proud to announce that in December, Stockton Circle K helped me raise more than 60 dollars in donations to help the Marine Corps Reserve “Toys for Tots” Program give toys to
underprivileged children on Christmas morning! It was a huge success and I want to thank everyone who donated to such a great cause. I have been a coordinator for the program since I was in 5th grade. Every year, I feel like I collect more and
more toys at each new place I go. I am excited to see
the successes to come! -‐Jamie
Winter Social! On February 12, from 6PM-‐10PM, St. Peter’s Circle
K hosted our district’s annual “Winter Social”. Guests came dressed in their 1920’s best and had fun socializing and dancing the night away! St. Peter’s did a terrific job creating the most dazzling night imaginable with excellent cuisine, a fun photo booth, great jams, and a few intense rounds of BINGO! It was a huge success and gathered together members from all the different Universities from across the state of New Jersey. The District Board was very impressed with the outcome of the event and we, as well as many other members, can’t wait to see what next year’s Winter Social will bring!
