In response to the call given jointly by AISBOF AND AISBISF vide

communication dated 19th August, 2011, massive demonstrations were held by

the members of both the organisations on 22nd and 23rd August 2011, in all the

Circles, asserting their support to the historic movement launched by Shri.

Annasaheb Hazare against corruption. The participation of members was

spontaneous as the purpose of demonstrations being against the cancerous

disease which is eating into the vitals of our system.

2. The majority of our population, despite our countrys robust economic

development in the past two decades, can not have access to the benefits of the

same, as the wealth generated is being siphoned off by a few with the unholy

nexus with the politicians. The country is heading towards a capitalistic economy.

Although the educated lot of our country are aware of the rampant rampart

corruption operating at all levels, they wanted somebody to raise a voice and

Shri. Annasaheb Hazare has just done it, and done it right.

3. We the members of both Federations being an organised and vibrant group,

have already expressed our appreciation and support to the movement in various

venues, all over the country, the demonstrations conducted during last two days

have exhibited the unity of purpose and spontaneous response of all our

members in identifying themselves with the mass movement against corruption in

all walks of life. The press and media have highlighted the demonstrations. We

hope that, the Government will take serious note of anger of the common man

and evolve a proper strategy to come out with a stringent law to deal with the evil

forces and to restore probity in public life. We, on our part decide to maintain

banking industry free from corruption, which will be a great service to our fellow

country men. Of course it is our duty towards the nation as citizens of this great

country.

4. We pray that, amicable settlement on Jan Lokpal Bill will be arrived at the

earliest to restore normalcy in the country.
