Update on Information on Roaming Certificate: Maximum Validity Period

We refer to Circular No 070/2020 entitled “Information on Roaming Certificate: Maximum

Validity Period” dated 20 Mar 2020.

Please note that your token (purchased from Augmented Technology Sdn Bhd) will not be

supported after 14 July 2020. Starting from 15 July 2020 (Wednesday), the signing of all

Court documents filled are performed using Roaming Certificate (purchased from MSC

Trustgate).

We would like to highlight to Members the following:

(1) Members with existing (remaining) token who subscribe for Roaming Certificate, will

be able to carry forward the certificate validity;

Example 1

Remaining Token validity: 1 year 3 months

Roaming Certificate subscription: 1 year

New Roaming Certificate validity: 2 years + 3 months

Example 2

Remaining Token validity: 8 months

Roaming Certificate subscription: 2 years

New Roaming Certificate validity: 2 years + 8 months

(2) Members with expired token shall straight away subscribe for Roaming Certificate;

and

(3) Members without token shall straight away subscribe for Roaming Certificate.

Note: For those with existing token, the maximum validity period of the new Roaming

Certificate is three years (existing Token validity period + new Roaming Certificate

subscription period).

Please refer to the brochure and user manual containing information on the new digital

signing solution (roaming certificate), which is available here (see page 3 onwards).
