CIRCULAR

SUB:-Observance of "Vigilance Awareness Week" during theyear 2014

The Government of Goa has been observing the Vigilance

Awareness week annually. This year the Vigilance Awareness

Week will be observed by the State Government from 27/10/2014

to 1/ 11/2014. This year the theme of the Vigilance Awareness

Week is "Combating Corruption-Technology as an enabler'.

All the Head of Departments/ Chief Executive Officers of

Government Organizations/Public Sector Undertakings/

Autonomous Bodies are required to ensure that the Vigilance

Awareness Week is observed in their respective Departments/

Organizations in its true spirit. The observance of Vigilance

Awareness Week shall commence with the taking of the pledge

(copy enclosed) on October 27th 2014 at 11.00 a.m. in their

organizations. The Organizations may undertake, amongst other,

the following activities:-

1) To display banners, posters etc at prime locations in theiroffices.

2) To organize seminars/workshops relevant to the themeinviting prominent faculty.

3) To organize debates/lectures/essay writing competition onmoral values, ethics, good governance practices etc.amongst the employees and students in thecolleges/ schools in local areas and to distribute prizes;

4) To bring out special issues of journals during the periodand

5) To request the non-government organizations, institutionand service associations in the local area to participate inthe Vigilance Awareness Campaign.

A report about the manner in which the VigilanceAwareness

week has been observed In each of the Department

/ Organizations should be submitted to this Directorate of

Vigilance by 15th December 2014.
