o taking short cuts to wealth. In a twist o ate, Goutham inds out about a will his rich

In the present day, Gautham embarks on a quest to lay his hands on the inheritance tied to

the legendary Hinglaj Devi temple.Tapsee, as Sreenidhi, plays an expert on Hindu religion

and helps the hero on his journey. The villian is Sultan, played by Shakthi Kapoor, Sultan is a

terrorist, who is afer both Goutham’s property and a hidden treasure rom the Kanishka Empire.

Gautham has to lay his claim on what belongs to him, while pitted against dreadul terrorists

in Pakistan. With clue inding, horse riding and lots o action, he must somehow do it.

director hasn’t made two

lms in the same genre. This

in itself is a rarity among

All have done their roles to an optimum. Thereare hardly any dramatic scene, while all kindsof messages are conveyed easily.

101Chodyangal is toldfrom the perspectiveof a young boy. The movieworks out slowly andsteadily into our minds. 101Chodyangal do not havehuge dialogue delivery,romance, melodrama andeven comedy, but still themovie captures one’s heart.

With respect toperformances, everyone isconsistently good. MasterMinon, Indrajith as histeacher and Lena as hismother, all showed measuredperformances. Othercharacters have also showntheir best.

Indrajith has showed ameasured performance inthis movie. We have seenhim in different roles, but hisMukundan Master is sure tofetch him great applause andhe deserves it.

he gives Anilkumar an interesting taskto test his endurance and conidence.

Master asks him to rame 101 questions

regarding dierent acets o lie and

their answers, so that they could be sold

out at the market in the orm o a book.

Mukundan promises the child Rs 1 or

each meaningul question. The curious

and vibrant Anilkumar starts his quest

or 101 questions. Afer a long struggle,Anilkumar manages to assemble his 101

questions with their answers. But the last

question he inds out leaves everyone

into surprise. “

A very much acceptable movie

and a to-be watched lm

Chodyangal. It is obviously a

watchable movie.

Hero is injured and he is admitted to hospital by a girl named

Swathi (Kriti Kharbhanda), who is into tears looking at him, in

Mangalore. Soon we are told that he is a business tycoon Sharath

(Yash). But he needs blood, and she decides to donate her blood in

order to save him. A lashback opens up with the heroine, a medical

student, coming to Bangalore to participate in the World Economic

Form.

We are told that Yash doesn’t like girls, but believes in love.

However, he pretends as i he hates love. While the girls ignore

him or the same, Swathi likes his strange behaviour and starts liking

him. As expected, he too alls in love. Both o them delay to coness

their love. However, the story takes a twist when the hero sees his

leading lady talking to other person. This creates a dierence and

they part ways. The remaining part answers how they come together

again.




Sandlewood

“

Googly is a romantic comedy movie

targeted mainly towards youths

and Yash fans. The lm has a

good comedy scenes, lively story

and good performances from the

lead stars. But the drawback is, it

appears like the movie caters to thespecic age groups and people

The story has good number of twistsin the movie. The screenplay

keeps you hooked majority of the time.

Not only the hero, but even audiencewill fall in love with heroine for her cuteexpressions and smiles. Her chemistry

works well with Yash. Ananth Nag,as always, does justice to his role.Technically, the movie is good. Twosongs of the movie are nice to hear andbackground score by Anoop Selin ispraiseworthy.

Director Pavan Wadeyar has blendedcomedy with various commercialelements to churn out a good love story.More importantly, there are enough

surprising googlies in the movie.

Sandlewood

The story highlights o how a blind director makes

a Kannada movie without revealing his handicap.

Manu (Ramesh Aravind), a ilm director, is selected

by producer Prabhu (Rangayana Raghu) to direct a

movie called Kathriguppe.

But he becomes blind as he could not ace the

tension o making the movie. Fearing that he

would lose the job, he never reveals his blindness to

anyone. He has his assistant Ranganni RavishankarGowda). There are excellent comedy sequences like

Manu addressing the heroine looking somewhere,

approving the shots without looking at the monitor,

selecting costumes or the lead roles, etc. But one ine

day everyone comes to know that he is blind. Though

upset with the turn o events, producer Prabhu tries

to cash in on his blindness by making announcement

that a blind director is directing his movie.

The story takes a curious turn when suddenly

Manu regains his eye sight. But that does not help

him as he had to act as the blind director so that the

publicity he got or the movie is not lost. How does he

do it? It is ull o comedy sequences.

Is the Sahasam story based inPakistan?

Yeah, the hero goes to Pakistan in search o

something. The story is set in the Pakistan

border areas. We shot those portions

in Ladakh, as it is easy to replicate the

landscape and the conditions o Pakistan.
