Release your business potential with CIMA Mastercourses

CIMA Mastercourses offer more than 200 accounting, finance and business CPD training courses designed to help you develop your skills and enhance your career. Whether you’re just starting out, or a finance director with many years’ experience, our courses will help you achieve your goals and keep up-to-date with the latest knowledge and techniques.

Professional development must be a profitable use of both time and money. CIMA Mastercourses have the experience to repay your investment by providing training that will advance careers and boost corporate performance. We have over 25 years’ experience of providing training solutions to accountants, finance and other professionals.

The courses follow a practical approach to training, featuring the latest ideas and methods that will help you deliver your organisation’s needs. They are led by speakers who are qualified professionals with the practical experience and communication skills to update and broaden your knowledge and know-how. Our courses are interactive, as we’ve found that interactive, challenging sessions stimulate delegates’ development more effectively. Our experts will ensure you are fully prepared to apply what you have learnt on the course to your day-to-day work as soon as you leave the training room.

Mastercourses are open to all finance, management and support staff, not just CIMA members, and are held at locations across the UK.

New for 2013 Our courses are regularly reviewed and updated to ensure they remain current and relevant. By analysing current trends, evaluating feedback from delegates and liaising with CIMA members we are constantly looking to improve our training provision to ensure you have the latest skills. 2013 sees the introduction of over 20 new courses on a wide range of contemporary issues such as:

• Carbon compliance

• Management accountant to finance director

• Managing spreadsheet risk

• Mini-MBA for accountants

• Strategic cost optimisation

• The biggest mistakes accountants make – and how to avoid them

• The Bribery Act – key issues for accountants.

Technical ability is essential, but no longer enough. These days, whatever your profession, you need to increase your personal impact and effectiveness. You need to work on your communication, leadership and management skills. Management accountant to finance director is a new five day programme that will give you the means to make a step-change in your personal performance, using skills such as time management, communication, leadership, influencing, negotiation and project and stakeholder management.

To progress in your career, you also need to get to grips with strategic thinking. The Mini-MBA for accountants will introduce you to MBA-type thinking, and how it can be applied to the finance function. It provides the skills to complement our successful CFO of the future workshop series.

on the dayJoining instructionsJoining instructions including directions are sent one to two weeks before the course date. If you do not receive these please phone: +44 (0)845 026 4722.

ScheduleCourses usually run from 9.30am to 5.00pm, with breaks for morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea.

Certificate of attendanceIf you would like a certificate of attendance please email [email protected]

Course papersThese will be provided on the day of the course. They are intended to supplement presentations rather than to be self-sufficient. For this reason and because problems of copyright occasionally arise, arrangements are not usually made to produce more sets than are required at the time of the course.

Course qualityWhen you attend a CIMA Mastercourse you will be given an assessment form on which to make your comments. The attention we pay to your assessment forms ensures the continuing quality and relevance of our course programmes.
