CCTV Integration Module

EntryPass Platform1 CCTV Integration Module (CIM) is designed to tackle and enhance the

capability of the visual inadequate text-based physical access control system. Leveraging the

visual data from CCTV system, it is able to provide verification to all event types - benefiting from

its integration visually.

The CIM exhibits a framework of monitoring functionalities that is fully event driven, using real

time physical access control event occurred within deployment as event marker (valid card

entry, invalid card entry, door forced opened, door left opened and many more) to trigger a

series of integrated events that enable the operator to quickly locate the event related data

within the CCTV system deployed locally or remotely for visual verification purposes – saving you

time, and giving you total control over your next course of action, right there and then.

CIM CCTV Integration Module

Event Snapshot

Event from Platform1 can be configured to retrieve a single video frame as snapshot from the

recording devices. (To realize this feature, all recording device must be recording continuously to

prevent miss frame for binding.)

Timestamp from the event can be use as identifier to fetch the matching video frame from the binded

recording device. A single door event can bind up to a maximum of 4 video camera/channels from

multiple recording devices. If an exact match of the time somehow cannot be retrieved or not

available, a nearest pre or post frame will be used.

(Snapshot images will be stored in Platform1 database for future use. The daily file size is limited to 2GB

per database. If usage is higher than 2GB limit in a single day, a second file will be created.)

Live Video Playback

Live video can be played from various places within Platform1. Context window will be provided at

places such as online transaction screen, device list, input/output list, guard tour transaction screen,

alarm transaction screen, interactive floor plan, CCTV Control Panel etc.

Recorded Video Playback

Recorded video can be played from various places within Platform1. Context window will be provided

at places such as online transaction screen, device list, input/output list, guard tour transaction screen,

alarm transaction screen, interactive floor plan, CCTV Control Panel etc.

Event Triggered Video Stripe

A set of 8 viewable video windows line up as a stripe within the user interface. Event configured with

video popup will fill the empty video window in the stripe automatically. Operator can remove the

video popup manually or automatically with a timer. (All video popups will be queued in FIFO manner.)

Operator can drag the video popup window into “Event View Pane” for greater monitoring activity.

Event View Pane

A set of 3 large video playback panel line up evenly within the user interface. Event view pane provide

an intuitive design to ease operator to retrieve video footage related to an event using a streamlined

action of drag and drop to start the retrieval process. Among the draggable source as trigger are:-

• Online transaction

• Device List

• Door List (in CCTV window)

• Input/Output List

• Video Popup Stripe

• Icon from interactive map

Attached to Event View Pane are many other functionalities such as playback recorded archive, view

event snapshot (if any), view transaction details (which causes popup, and if drag from online

transaction window and view transaction history UI), PTZ camera (if the source of video is live and PTZ

enable camera) and manual local recording etc.

PTZ Control

Enable operator to control a PTZ camera via the recording device. All PTZ commands will be first

delivery to recording device via TCP/IP protocol before sending to PTZ camera via RS485.

There are 2 control methods provided in this integration:

1. PTZ Mode

When activated, mouse pointer will be use as a joystick to control the PTZ camera. Movement of

mouse pointer will be confined within a live image container. A key combination will be pressed to

release the mouse pointer back to normal.

2. PTZ Control Panel

A form with buttons labelled Up, Down, Left, Right and so on will appear, and user click on those

buttons to move the PTZ cameras. This also enable operator when need to move the PTZ in a accurate

and consistent direction.

Interactive mapping with video icon & playback control

New camera icon will be integrated into existing interactive map in Platform1. This will enable operator

to monitor live and recorded video footage right within the interactive map.

There are 2 video viewing method provided in this integration:

1. A rightclick

Context window shall provide the options to operator to choose if they want to launch the video

control panel that provide control functionalities to operator to view the video footage.

2. “Take-A-Glance”

Mode enable operator to quick way to access to live video footage by hovering the mouse pointer

over the camera icon.

Email alert with event snapshot

System administrator will be able to configure automated email sending with snapshot image when

occurred. If no valid snapshot is available during the email sending process, system will continue to

send the alert email and retry the sending process again in next day. (The retry process will be

terminated after the second day sending.)

Report with event snapshot

Operator can include event snapshot (if available) to transaction and alarm report.

P1 Server (Professional Edition & Above)

Entrypass Platform1 Server (Professional Edition with Samsung CIM - Platform1 Pro). Primary function includes configuration

of the entire integration and hardware linkage matrix shall be configured in Entrypass Platform1 Server before an event

message can be transmitted to Platform1 Client for monitoring purposes.

All DVR/NVR IP address and login information shall be programmed into Entrypass Platform1 Server to automate the login

process to Samsung devices. All Entrypass Platform1 Client will login into Platform1 Pro to authenticate itself before able

to connect to the rest of the integrated devices from Samsung.

P1 Client with Multiple Screens

Primary function is to provide a management interface that enable operator to monitor the integrated access control

and CCTV system with an intuitive user interface that able to span across multiple screens recognised by the host

Windows OS.

Door Control Panel

Physical access control that secure a physical door. Depending on the model used in with the integration, control panel

may be generating event that may be used as an input to trigger the automated subprocess for EntryPass Samsung CCTV

Integration Module.

Samsung DVR/NVR

Video storage hardware that provide the video source for this integration. Platform1 will utilise the XNS ActiveX SDK to

access video material live streaming or stored within the recording hardware.

Analogue Cameras

Analogue camera that connected to Samsung DVR/NVR devices

IP Cameras

IP camera that is connected to Samsung DVR/NVR. There might be possible at the later stage to access live video stream

from IP camera directly to Platform1.

Assumption:

It is assumed that all system time in hardware are synchronized regularly with a network time server to increase accuracy for binding data

and content between Platform1 and Samsung hardwares.
