Three MOIJ based (online) programmes i.e., MIPL, PGDLPO and PGDENLWOL of theabove list are put on hold by the University.

The averagrt enrollment per cycle per programme during the last three years exceeded above100 in the case of four programmes i.e., CHR, CCP, CAHT and PGDIPR.

The same is below 100 in the case of CCLBL, PGCPP, PGCCL, DIPR CIHL, ?GDCJwhich is a matter of concern. Hence the Programme Coordinators concerned have beeirrequested to initiate immediate steps so as to ensure enhancement of the enrollment tr 9rcycle at least above 100 (Action - concerned Programme coordinators).

One of the main reasons for the low enrollment in Programmes offered by SOL is due tonon-activation of Study Centres.

The Director informed tLe Members that steps have already been taken to identify LawColleges furactioning within the territorial jurisdiction of each IGNOU Region and the samehad already been mailed to them through RSD. The IGOU Regional Centres have alsb beenequally distributed among the Faculty Members with the specific purpose to take necessarysteps to ensure activation of Programme Study Centres for the Law Programmes inrespective Regions allotted to them.

After detailed deliberations about the reasons and causes for low enrollment and consequentresult of closure of such programmes, the Director, SOL was authorized to constitute atluee-Member Committee to look into all the aspects of and suggest measures to enhancethe eruollment in the Programmes in offer or closure of such programmes and also suggestpotential areas for development of new programmes. Meanwhile, Faculty Members havebeen requested to undertake Need Assessment Survey for the Programmes mentioned underPart-il ofArurexure-2. (Action -All Faculty Members).
