IOS SELECTED PROJECTS

Berlingkse Business For iPad An iPad application developed for the oldest Danish

newspaper Berlingske.dk. The application has a

very stylish look and sophisticated navigation. The

user can easily browse through the latest news,

article sections, flick through photos of the day, and

get instant access to stocks data.

HeatMapz An iPhone application acting as a guide to Zurich

night life and entertainment. Check out in which

clubs your friends are now partying, check-in a club,

rate an event and add photos to it – this is just a

small part of what the application is able to do! The

fun part about the app is couponing – you can trade

free stuff with your friends and then it is possible to

redeem the coupons at a bar for free drinks.

The Weakest Link The Weakest Link is a logical trivia game owned by

BBC. This is another of our successful development

projects. However, there have been quite a lot of

considerable changes from the customer during the

project run. But that is normal in our experience to

constantly have changed requests from the

customers. These just need to be managed

appropriately. This was the case with the Weakest

Link, and in the long run everyone was happy: the

customer was happy with our performance and the

team was happy with the work they have done.

Vipera iPhone UIE Vipera is a unique user interface technology for

enabling mobile banking on the low-end mobile

handsets.

Project technical specification:

The project developed for our client was

targeted for the banking sector.

The project is an interface engine that is

capable to build different apps from different

JSON files.

The client has developed their own mark-up

and navigation language that was processed

on the project.

The engine is very flexible and easily

customizable.

Yell.com v2.0 The application developed for British Yellow Pages

agency.

The application retrieves data from the server in a

JSON format and displays relevant information on

device, e.g. “all Pubs near me” or “Indian

restaurants in Glasgow.”

CASUAL IOS MOBILE GAMES

Bobby Carrot Forever

An amazing, award-winning, successful and fun-to-play game that has

been developed for FDG Entertainment (www.fdg-entertainment.com).

Later a lite version of the game has been produced.

Babel Words

Babel Words is a word game developed for our French client PlayinTV

(www.playintv.com). This iPhone game was fully developed within 5

weeks.

TweezleLab

An entertaining and cute Tetris-like game.

Another PlayinTV (www.playintv.com) game.

High scores table sends and receives results from the server.

Brain-o-Meter

Developed for FDG Entertainment (www.fdg-entertainment.com).

In this game the player is promised to get the maximum brain training impact in the minimum time. The game concept is based on the latest scientific research and tests both sides of the brain simultaneously.

ANDROID SELECTED PROJECTS

Virgin Mega Bouygues

Android application developed exclusively for Bouygues

(www.bouygues.com) network users. The application is a

special content sharing/distribution tool. Users are able to

preview and then download wallpapers, videos, ringtones,

logos, and news.

Videofyme

Android version of Videofyme (www.videofy.me) app. The

features include:

Recording a video

Uploading a video

Custom video camera has been developed for the

application.

hummba.com

An android application for www.hummba.com – a tourist

guide, route planning and tracking system, a social

network for travelers – a tourist’s must have everyday tool.

The app consists of 5 major parts:

Route tracking and sharing it online

Photo/video upload tied to a GPS position

Social network: communicate with your friends, see

where they are, and view their photos and videos.

Location based audio guides. It is your personal

guide that can tell you fantastic stories about new

places.

Location based adverts. Ad-Mob like ad banner

system developed and integrated into the app.

BLACKBERRY SELECTED PROJECTS

Benzinprizer

The application shows prices on gas stations. Rich functionality and

bright UI. User can report prices to the server, add new gas stations,

mark his favorites and much more

Stock Trader

A great tool for a businessman. Using XML the application displays

currency exchange rates and current market trends. Stock Trader

application can show off good performance due to a well-defined

architecture.

Mobile Dictionary "Politikens Mobilordbog” The dictionary application has been developed for one of the largest

Danish media publishing houses - JP Politikens (www.jppol.dk) (in

parallel they have a development team with Ciklum in Ukraine).

The application uses XML content that has been parsed to a unique

binary format developed specially for this project which optimized the

performance of the app and shrunk the size of the database by more

than 80%. This helped port the app to a number of devices with low

functional parameters.

Ciklum Mobile Project Office developed the Blackberry version of this

application.

Servi Caixa

The Blackberry re-make of the iPhone application. This is an ongoing

development project. The application provides data about the movies

and cinemas in Spain. Shows the user movies and cinemas near his

location, allows to search and purchase tickets.

The data is pulled from the server via XML.

Endomondo

The Blackberry re-make of the existing Nokia S60 application. The

application is a trace tracking tool when doing sports. The application is

capable to record the user’s route, calculate the distance and speed,

and upload all the info to the server where it is displayed on a map and

shown to friends on endomondo.com.

The application has been ported to all GPS-enabled Blackberry phones,

from Blackberry 8110 to Blackberry Tour.

J2ME SELECTED PROJECTS

Endomondo J2ME

The J2ME re-make of the Endomondo Symbian application. The application is a

trace tracking tool when doing sports. The app tracks the user’s route, uploads it

to the server, and calculates the speed and distance. Once the track has been

uploaded to the user’s profile, it will be made available to the user’s friends in the

online social network.

Samsung – all devices with a built-in GPS receiver.

Benzinprizer

The application show prices on gas stations. It uses geo-location data to display

prices on the nearest stations, the distance and the way to the stations. The

application has been developed both for GPS and non-GPS devices. Non-GPS

devices use base station location information for location data. Other functionality

include: filter by favorite stations, update information about prices, new stations

on the server.

The application uses the XML connection with the server. Later the J2ME

application Benzinpriser has been ported to the Blackberry and Windows Mobile

devices.

The application has been developed for FDM (www.fdmbenzinpriser.dk) and is

targeted for Danes only.

The project has been completed in Spring 2009.

Mobile Dictionary "Politikens Mobilordbog"

The dictionary application has been developed for one of the largest Danish

media publishing houses - JP Politikens (www.jppol.dk) (in parallel they have a

development team with Ciklum in Ukraine).

VidiVidi Mobile Video Player

VidiVidi is a video to mobile social networking community.

Vidi Player is a J2ME application which awakes at set times to tell the user

there is a new video news and content available. The Vidi Player is the ultimate

media player allowing users to manage, play and share video and audio files.

The application used an XML file with descriptions of a video file to download

and play it.

One of the features of this platform was transcoding of user-generated videos

from any of the dozen allowed formats to mobile 3gp and flash video. Together

with the platform, we developed a mobile client to access the content available

through the platform.

The project was released in Spring 2008.

CNN Business Translator

Phrase books for mobile handsets, which were developed exclusively for the

British company Player X. Developed for five languages – English, German,

French, Spanish and Italian.

Launched in UK in 2004.

Berlitz Phrase Book

The first phrasebooks created for cell phones. Developed exclusively for the

British company Player X.

Five different Phrase Books – Popular Phrases, Holiday Phrases, Chat Up

Lines, Eating Out and Cool Lingo.

Launched in UK in 2004.

Football 2007

A football game developed on Ciklum's own engine. The game can be easily

customized for any brand.

Coca Cola Trivia Master

This is a music quiz developed exclusively for the Danish company Sandager

Small Games where the players have to answer music related questions on

their cell phones.

Coca Cola Trivia Master has been launched in Greece as a part of Coca Cola’s

marketing campaign there.

FHM

FHM is one of the most popular men’s magazines! 3 FHM-branded games

were developed exclusively for the British company Player X.

The three applications are famous logical games – Puzzle, Reversi and Reveal

Me. FHM games went online on Vodafone’s network.

GuppyLife

Guppy Life is a J2ME mobile game integrated into a community web site. The

main features of the game include:

Take care of a virtual cartoon feature Guppy, make her happy by

scratching her belly and playing with Guppy.

When a Guppy is happy a user gets bonuses that s/he can exchange

through the web site.

Communicate with other users through personal messages.

HTTP server connection

Both the game and the community website have been developed by Ciklum

and released in December 2008. The website was built using Joomla.

Devil Darts

The game was developed exclusively for the biggest European portal

Jamba/Jamster.

The application lets players take a revenge on an unpleasant person – now

they can throw darts against his/her images on their cell phones. The image is

taken with the phone camera or uploaded from the gallery and placed in the

center of the dartboard.

Devil Darts has been launched on Jamster’s portals worldwide.

Blow Cow

The game meant for the camera phones, developed exclusively for the

Danish company Rezet.

In the game the player has to shoot cows which are flying on the screen by

moving his handset’s camera.

Blow Cow went online on the leading European portals in the end of 2004.
