Maynaguri lodged a written complaint to the effect that on 03.09.16 he found

(02) unknown male dead bodies were lying beside the High Road near western

side of Kadamtala under PS Maynaguri. Accordingly he brought notice to

Maynaguri PS and Maynaguri PS started investigation of the case. IO of the

case found one Tattoo mark in the right forearm of one deceased inscribed in

Hindi “Bhore” and another deceased “Ajoy Singh”. One Truck Bearing No. NL

01K/4873 was recover from Islampur PS area, District Uttar Dinajpur. During

investigation IO learnt that both deceased were Driver & Khalashi of this

Truck . Joy Prakash (22) s/o Malikhan Singh of Puraon, PS Mallaban, Diatrict

Itawa, State UP was the driver and Ajoy Kumar Singh (32) s/o Shibnath Singh

of Zaeauli, PS Birhhwan, District Morpuri, UP was the khalashi of the

truck.The Truck started from Tripura and was proceeding to Ludhiana Punjab

with 15 Mts raw rubber sheet valued Rs.16,43,250/-. With the help of GPS

facility police trace out the unloading godown at Siliguri and apprehended the

following accused persons and arrested them.

On 22.11.15 one Miss Shazia Ahamed D/O Mukhtiar Ahamed of Babuline

Aberdeen Bazar, Port Blair, Andaman A/P residing at Anandalok Lodge S.N Road,

PO + PS Siliguri, Darjeeling lodged a written complaint against (a) Nawazis Khan

W/O Anawar Khan (b) Anawar Khan (c) Miss Naghma Khan D/O Anwar Khan all

of Rani Bazar building 3rd floor, Kamalpati Road, Fancy Bazar, PS Pan Bazar

Guahati, Assam jointly with prior motive to cheat her and grabbed total Rs.

55,65,000/- with the promise to secure her seat in MBBS course during the session

2013-2014. But inspite of making payments on different occasions in different Bank

accounts the accused neither arranged a seat in MBBS course nor returned back their

money. In addition they threatened the complainant on repeated occasions. Over this

incident the instant case was started and the following accused person was arrested.

Rana das (30) S/O Ranjit Das of saptak Apertment, 3rd floor, Sukanta Nagar, Pran

Krishna Sarani, Ashighar OP under PS Bhaktinagar, Dist. Jalpaiguri was arrested on

15.9.16 by EOW Section CID,WB.

Medical entrance scam

One Parthasarathi Giri, Assistent professor in surgery COMJNMH, Kalyani and

residing at Ram Chandra pally, Kolkata 700008 lodged a written complaint to the

effect that one Sumantra Gupta S/O Dr. Saibal Gupta of Patel Road, word No. 2,

PO+PS Pradhan Nagar, District Darjeeling cheated and allured Rs. 19,8 Lakhs (Rs. 9

Lakhs in cash and Rs. 10,8 Lakhs by cheque) the compalainent for admission of Dr.

Pramit Giri (complainant’s son) in the course of MD Anesthesia at SMIMS

impersonating himself prof. M S Ghosh a senior faculty in SMIMS. Over the

incident the instant case was started and the following accused persons were arrested.

(i) Bablu Modak (29) s/o Mongla Modak of Lelin Sarani, Sarat Chandra pally,

Hyder para, Siliguri – 734006.

(ii) Sumantra Gupta @ Dr. Sumantra Gupta @ Dr. Ghosh @ Mr. A. Roy (36) s/o

Dr. Saibal Gupta of Patel Road, word No. 2, PO+PS Prodhannagar, District

Darjeeling.

(iii) Bidhan Chandra Das (32) s/o Makhan Lal Das of 35 Parnasree pally, Behala,

PS Parnasree, Kolkata 700060 A/P 18/D Parnasree pally, Behala, PS

Parnasree, Kolkata 700060.

The above noted accused persons were arrested by EOW section, CID, West

Bengal.

(c) Ref: Kalna PS case No. 439/16 dt. 02.09.16 u/s 406/417/419/420 IPC.

On 03.09.16 under direct supervision of IGP (1) CID, A team of SOG CID, WB

led by SI Sandip Ganguli went to Kalna with the help of Monitoring unit, the

accused person has been identified, who provided all logistics to the principal

accused in lieu of money. It is a professional gang of this type of crime.

Mrityunjoy Roy s/o Lt. Gurucharan Roy of Tamaghata, Majida, PS Purbasthali,

District Burdwan.

(d) Ref : Nandakumar PS case No. 337/16 dt. 24.09.16 u/s 379/411/413/414 IPC

& r/w section 23, Petroleum Act 1934 &15/16 petroleum and minerals pipe

lines Act.

On 23.09.16 night acting on a secret information a raid was conducted by the

officers and men of SOG section CID, WB at Kamardah area located at India

Hotel under PS Nandakumar and arrested the following accused persons and

seized two tankars loaded with approx 22000 liters of stolen petroleum products

to be crude oil & one mini truck loaded with approx 5000 liters of crude oil, 4

motor cycle, cash of Rs. 50822/- & 4 mobile phones.

IPC.

In this case, CID West Bengal team has recovered stolen Gold Ornament of

3.250 Kg (approx) and Rs. 1.85 lakh from Daspur PS area, District East

Medinipur and also conducted raid at Dismat Khoyra area under Kolakhat

Khoyra under Kolaghat PS. The instant case, total numbers of five (5) accused

persons namely i) Rina Hara w/o Ashoke Hara of Dudhkomra under Daspur PS,

ii) Biswajit Majhi s/o Sudarshal Majhi of Jotghanashyam under Daspur PS, iii)

Madan Jana s/o Krishna Pada Jana of Joyram Chak under Daspur PS, iv)

Kalipada Sasmal of Kismat Khoyer under Kolaghat PS (all are Paschim

Khoyer under Kolaghat PS Purba Medipur District have been arrested by the

CID team. On the basis of information of CID team one main accused namely

Abhijit Majhi has been arrested from the beed area of Maharastra by Rajasthan

Police.

IPC and 3/4/5/6/7/9 ITP Act 1959.

On 25.09.16 acting on credible information a team of CID WB conducted raid at

Saheb lodge ( beside NH 41) Rajarampur, PS Mahisadal, Dist. Purba Medinipur

& secured arrest one Soumen Das s/o Judhistir Das of Mahisda, PS Tamluk,

District Purba Medinipur and recovered nine victims including one minor. Over

this issue the above mentioned case was started.

(g) Ref. Nodakhali PS Case No. 372/20016 dt. 05.09.16 u/s – 8(C) r/w

20(b)(ii)/(C) NDPS Act.

On 05.09.2016 afternoon in course of working out a secret source information

regarding dealing in ganja a joint raid was held at the house of one Rajesh Gupta

s/o Lt. Harihar Prasad Gupta of Baganbaria, Birlapur, PS Nodakhali, District

South 24 Parganas by a team of CID WB with assistance of Nacotics Control

Bureau and local PS.Three separte packets of Ganja were recovered from the

house and the accused Rejesh Gupta was arrested for having possession of such

contrabanned articles.

On 27.09.16 in course of working out a secret source information raid was held

at Simultala under PS Mahestala, District South 24 Parganas by a team of CID

WB. One (1) kg forty (40) gms of heroin was recovered. Four accused namely (i)

Khokon Naskar (24) s/o Lt. Arovindo Naskar of Joynagar Patipukur PS

Joynagar, South 24 Parganas, (ii) Pathoprotim Jana (34) s/o Lt. Subodh Kumar

Jana of Sonarpur bye lane 2, PS Sonarpur South 24 Parganas, (iii) Jiten

Chowdhury (22) s/o Bimal Chowdhury of Purba Rupnagar Halder para, PS

Joynagar, (iv) Baidya Nath Mondal (26) s/o Biwanath Mondal of Purba

Rupnagar Halderpara, PS Joynagar, Dist South 24 Parganas was arrested.

On the basis of the complaint of one Vikas Kumar s/o Ambika Prasad Singh

presently at 4th Floor, C block, 1/6 Paschim Putiary, Kolkata – 41 posted as

Junior Telecom Officer (JTO TERM Cell) Department of telecommunication,

O/o DDG TERM, 4th Floor, Ranigung coal house, 3A Chowringhee place , Kol.

13, this case was started. In the case it was found that Ratan Shaw and his father

Ramesh Shaw of 5/A PS road Rishra, Hoogly is terminating the ISD/VOIP

International calls and by passing the legal International gateways of the

domestic operators receiving calls of foreign callers and also perminating the

same in the end of Indian customers. As a result foreign caller numbers are

getting untraceable and by taking this advantage illegal activities are grooming

up and pose a lot of security threat and loss to the Govermemt revenue. They

have impersonated/ forged licensed telecom operator and also cheated with

common intention by maintaining a parallel illegal telecom installation without

any Government approval only for having wrongful gain also grossly hampering

the security aspect of the nation.
