CHW-A MODEL
MAGIC AIRE Horizontal Fan Coil Units are engineered for permanent, ceiling mounted installations in the return airspace.An insulated return air plenum is available for ducted return applications and is easily field converted for bottom or rear entry.• Units are available in various sizes from 200 to 1200 CFM, with or without factory installed electric heaters.• All Magic Aire fan coil units are designed for easy access and service of heaters, controls and motors. Electrical requirements are120/208/240/265 VAC, 50/60 Hz single phase.

• As standard equipment all CHW-A series units are equipped with 3 speed Direct Drive 115v single phase motor.• All CHW-A series units are equipped with transformer and one fan relay for 24v control.• 1.5 – 2.5 kW electric heaters are 120v. All other electric heaters are 208-230v.• Coil options are 3, 4, 3/1 split, 4/1 split, 1/3 split, 2/3 split, 1/4 split and 5 row (maximum). Split coils are for four pipe systems.
Use 4/1 split for 5 row coil pricing. Coil hand must be specified at time of order.
• Consult “Piping & Control Packages” brochure for all factory selected thermostat and valve cluster combinations. See “ControlPricing & Coding” and “Valve Pricing – Clusters & Components” for pricing of same.

• Cabinets shall be fabricated of LFQ (min) steel. Externalparts are to be made with a polyurethane based powdercoated A60 galvanealed, while internal parts are to be builtfrom G90 galvanized steel. Units shall pass 500 hour saltspray test as described in ASTM B-117.
• Coils are to be tested at 500 PSI for operation at 400 PSIguage. All water coils have air vents.
• Fan wheel bearings shall be self aligning, sealedcartridge, permanently lubricated ball bearings thatprovide dependable fan operation for an average life of200,000 hours (belt drive only)
• Variable pitch motor sheaves.
