Mini Retreat at Auriesville Saturday, June 9th, Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, there will be a retreat offered at the Auriesville Shrine from 9:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. The day will include: 9:15 registrations at the Visitor Center; 9:45 Conference given by Father Rendell Torres; 11 a.m. Mass celebrated at the Coliseum by Father Torres and Father Catena; 12 p.m. box-lunch at the Visitor Center; 12:45 p.m. presentation by Beth Lynch on Saint Kateri and the Eucharist; 1:45 p.m. question and answer period ending at 2 p.m. The suggested donation for the day is $12, which includes lunch. Happy Mother's Day

Today is a celebration honoring all mothers and motherhood.

It is a time of reflection and appreciation for all the women in our lives,

May is the month of Mary, the Mother of God. Scripture tells us when Jesus gave His mother to His disciple from the cross, He was giving her to all of us to the end of time. When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom

he loved standing nearby, he said to her, “Woman, here is your son” and to the disci-

ple, “Here is your mother”. - John 19: 26-27

Go to Mary as you would your earthly mother. Tell her you are sad, lonely or fearful - she will comfort you. Talk to her about a difficult situa-tion or your spiritual and temporal needs - she will guide you.
