Wedding Gowns through the Ages Fundraiser

September 14

Ladies, do you still have your wedding gown? Is it in good enough condition to be modeled at Sacred Heart’s Wedding Gowns through the Ages fundraiser to be held in the church on September 14th. We are trying to get gowns that date back in time to the 20s and 30s and all the decades after that. If you have your mother’s or grandmother’s gown, that would be terrific. Also, if you are of another culture and the tradition is to wear something different for you wedding, we would like to show those gowns too. We are looking for ten to twelve gowns for the event. We are asking that you lend us your gown for the evening. If you still fit in it and would like to model it that would be wonderful. Otherwise we will find someone to model it for you. We will be collecting as much information about the gown itself, the couple who got married, etc. and will read the information as the gown is being modeled. Wedding cake and coffee will be served after. This will be an unusual but wonderful event and can potentially be a big fundraiser for our parish. If you are interested in participating, please contact Bernadette Marasco at 845-238-5630 or e-mail me at [email protected].
