EUCHARISTIC ADORATIOON & ARISTIC ADORBENEDICTION
ATIOATNN
In the presence of the angels, come, let us adore the Lord.
While some people were speaking about how the temple was adorned with costly stones and votive offerings, Jesus said, "All that you see here-- the days will come when there will not be left a stone upon another stone that will not be thrown down." Then they asked him, "Teacher, when will this happen? And what sign will there be when all these things are about to happen?" He answered, "See that you not be deceived, for many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he,' and 'The time has come.' Do not follow them! When you hear of wars and insurrections, do not be terrified; for such things must happen first, but it will not immediately be the end." Then he said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be powerful earthquakes, famines, and plagues from place to place; and awesome sights and mighty signs will come from the sky. "Before all this happens, however, they will seize and persecute you, they will hand you over to the synagogues and to prisons, and they will have you led before kings and governors because of my name. It will lead to your giving testimony. Remember, you are not to prepare your defense beforehand, for I myself shall give you a wisdom in speaking that all your adversaries will be powerless to resist or refute. You will even be handed over by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends, and they will put some of you to death. You will be hated by all because of my name, but not a hair on your head will be destroyed. By your perseverance you will secure your lives."
Small Group Faith Sharing Questions
1) There is a saying – “begin with the end in mind” . Are you living with the end in mind?
2) Jesus preached “the Kingdom of God”. What world do you live in? How sure are you that you are living in the “right place”. Why?
3) Do you ever examine your life at the end of the day – before you go to sleep? Has that made a difference for you? How?
4) What are the things you practice that put you in a right mind with God?
5) What advice would you give to someone who is searching for truth?

Dear Parishioners and Friends, On behalf of Fr. Jorge I want to thank everyone who had a hand in building the new rectory. In particular, Mr. John Lobb, our general contractor, the architects at Holliday and all of the many subcontractors who did a really terrific job. We are grateful to our parish business manager, Theresa Segin, for her coordination of the project, as well as to those on our Maintenance Staff who helped with the move and transition. We are also grateful to those who donated furniture. Most importantly, we want to thank all of you, our parishioners, for your support and patience during this time of construction. Many of you have asked if there will be an open house and the answer is “yes!” We have scheduled an Open House for this coming Saturday, November 23 from 1-3pm. Please: no household gifts! We have brought over from the “old rectory” all the items we need. Please come and take a look inside! Speaking of the “old rectory” (we are still working on a new name for it): the dining room has already been converted into an official meeting room (it had been doubling as a dining/conference room for many years!). The rooms on the second floor are now in the process of make-overs. The upstairs will be used for offices, meetings, and counseling. This process will take some time, as money allows, but we can begin using some of the upstairs already. All of the furniture being used has been donated by parishioners and businesses. So begins a new chapter in the life of our parish community. While all of this is very important, we must always keep in mind the most important thing that happens here happens on Sunday. The Eucharist is where we draw our strength from and our mission as individual disciples and as a parish. Buildings are important, but building up the Body of Christ is our number one priority. Thanks for all you do to help in this endeavor!
Peace! Fr. Rich

balance of all the core areas of life. In this workshop we will give realistic, easy to follow tips to feeling good
and balanced on all these levels. Diane Lang – Therapist, Educator and Life Coach will return to St. Joan’s on November 21st at 7:30PM to share her expertise in this subject. SPIRITUAL DIRECTION N There are times when we are moved to respond to God’s
personal invitation to a deeper relationship and to discover God’s presence in all things.. God desires a deeper relationship with you; a desire to
grow in intimacy. Spiritual direction is an experience that enables a
person to become more fully aware of God’s abiding presence in their life, and live more fully in that
relationship. Individual sessions available at St Joan’s Rectory. If you would like to schedule a
session or have questions contact; Deacon Jeff DeFrehn, Certified Spiritual Director-Diocese of
Trenton email: [email protected] or call St Joan’s Rectory Office 856-983-0077
Now that the weather is getting cooler we would like to remind you that there are
shawls and blankets at the rectory for you or someone you know
that is going through a difficult time. There is no charge but donations are graciously accepted.
If you crochet or knit and would like to "Share your Talents", please consider joining us. We make the shawls,
blankets, baby blankets/hats from the comfort of our homes. Blankets and shawls are donated to the Virtua hospital in Marlton ICU dept, Baby blankets/hats are donated to the Virtua hospital in Voorhees N.I.C.U.
dept. as well as Good Counsel in Riverside, Options for Women, and Lily's Hope, for preemies. We also make
scarves and hats for an organization for abused women. If you have any yarn or spools of narrow ribbon that you are no longer using, please consider donating them to us. Be assured that they will be put to good use. Just
drop them off at the rectory at your convenience. For more information, call Rita Smith at 856-983-2809 or email me at [email protected].
