Youth News

During the Thanksgiving season, we want the families at the RMH-Arnold Palmer Hospital to know they are thought about during a time of the year when family and friends are near and dear to everyone’s heart. We will have an expanded menu this month on Tuesday, Nov. 25th of turkey, yellow rice, green beans, mac & cheese

and sweet potato casserole. If you would like to provide homemade stuffing, dessert or drinks, please contact Ethel Smith. Also, if your schedule permits you or your family to volunteer to serve, please let me know. (Lads and Leaderettes are eligible to receive service points for participating.) Thank you for your support.

The American Diabetes Associ-ation is behind the largest na-tional movement to Stop Diabetes

and its deadly consequences. During the month of Novem-ber, the American Diabetes Association encourages Amer-icans to get started living a healthy active lifestyle through the America Gets Cooking to Stop Diabetes campaign. Anyone can find out great tips, recipes and more each week by visiting our interactive web page at www.diabetesforecast.org/adm. Nearly 30 million children and adults in the United States have diabetes. Another 86 million Americans have pre-diabetes and are at risk for developing type 2 diabetes. Recent estimates project that as many as one in three Amer-ican adults will have diabetes in 2050 unless we take steps to Stop Diabetes.
