    DEEPENINGOur community has a variety of needsranging from personal to social.

    Government or non-government agenciesmay respond to these needs. As aChristian community, we often focus onthe so- called religious and spiritual concerns. But we are called to be awareand to respond to the total needs of thecommunity

    We conduct different activities as achurch. As our communities grow, ourtask also grows. So we need to dividethese tasks among ourselves based on ourown capabilities and interests. We alsoneed to have a group of leaders who will

    We can divide our parish into cells calledBasic Ecclesial Communities (BEC). It iscomposed of neighborhood families. TheBEC cell or Munting KapitbahayangKristiyano (MKK) is the smallest unit of thechurch. Each BEC cell (MKK) has its own

    leaders.

    These officers are often chosen through adiscernment process. They serve for aterm of at least a year. The heads of theBEC cells (MKK) composes the KawanPastoral Circle.

    There are many tasks that need to bedivided. A standard way is the so-calledWESTY; Worship, Education, SocialService, Temporalities and Youth (orWESTFLY that includes Family and Lifealthough some place this ministry under

    Education)

    Each ministry can have sub-ministries;example the Worship Ministry can includethe lay ministers, lector-commentators,acolytes, choir, etc. there can also be avariety of sub ministries depending on thecommunity.

    The Kawan Ministry Head will be chosenamong the Sub-Ministry Coordinators andwill serve for a term of at least a year.This will also apply on parish level; theParish Ministry Head will be chosen amongthe Kawan Ministry Heads.

    Parish Mandated Organizations andTransparochial groups can be members of ministries only, by virtue of their loyalty totheir respective organization/groups.Their plans/services should be included intheir ministrys pastoral plan.

    INTEGRATION

    Draw your parish/community organigram/organizational chart/ ppc structureidentifying all the councils, groups,organizations, ministries, kawan pastoralcircle and BECs or MKK Grouping will be done perparish/community. The group leader willshare its groups parish/communityorganigram.

    CHALLENGE

    Our Christian community has many needs.In order to respond to these moreeffectively, we put up ministries and sub-ministries depending on our needs. Wealso need to select a Kawan Pastoral Circlethat will coordinate the BECs in their many

    tasks. In this way we hope to enable ourcommunity to become more alive,dynamic and responsive to our people.
