Deputy Area Manager/Project Engineer - Mining and Metals (Contract Position)

Area management and project engineering for the communications infrastructure group, providing

management support for project and client personnel globally. The value of the Scope of Works was in excess

of $140m.

Managed the communications infrastructure, systems and equipment contract packages for requirements

along the 750km railway link between the mine and port, for temporary and permanent camp requirements, in

vehicle communications and tracking systems.

Managed and delivered contract packages in excess of $6m, budgets (Opex/Capex) and resources for

commercial and engineering deliverables. Planning cost, man-hours, time and tracking.

Meeting objectives of assigned projects, working closely with the contracts and procurement teams

enhanced the management and delivery of commercial and engineering deliverables.

Advised the client commercially and technically in a number of specific project areas, this included in

country communications systems and infrastructure and safety critical requirements of communications
