From the desk of James T. Bradford, General Secretary, Assemblies of God

We have a few items regarding credential renewals that we would like to bring to

your attention.

1. Online Renewal System improvements: The online renewal submission

site (for participating districts) has been re-designed to make it much more

user-friendly for you. More details to come on this later in the fall.

2. Online submission change: Ministers who owe 2013 dues (other than

those on recurring payments (like auto-deduct)) must either (a) pay the

balance of General Council dues online with a credit/debit card (you may do

this while completing the renewal online); or (b) be paid in full, before your

renewal may be submitted online.

Hardcopy forms will continue to be mailed to all (except AGWM personnel.)

Districts will still have the ability to print pre-populated renewal forms.

Ministers who cannot pay their dues in full will have the option to mail a

hardcopy form.

3. Dues Increases: As a reminder, the dues increases (for active ministers)

approved at the 2013 General Council in Orlando, Florida, will not go into

effect until January 1, 2014. Those yearly dues will be: ordained ($300),

licensed ($240), and certified ($120.) For information on setting up, or

increasing the amounts on recurring payments for 2014, please email

[email protected]; or call our toll free number (1-877-840-4800),

Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., CST.

Questions? Don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected],

or call us at 417.862.2781 ext. 3235.(Monday–Friday, 8:00a.m.–4:30 p.m.)

★Remember the $30 processing fee payable to the South Texas District Council.

Organizational Leadership Training is an exciting leadership training program is now offered through the national Royal Rangers ministry that will challenge leaders in positions of service outside of their local Royal Rangers group to grow spiritually, to develop well-rounded ministry competencies, and to enhance t h e i r l e a d e r s h i p a p t i t u d e s . A l l o rgan i za t i ona l l eaders se rv ing in leadership positions outside of their local church are encouraged to begin in this

tra ining process as s o o n a s p o s s i b l e f o l l o w i n g t h e i r appointment, though the training is available to any Royal Rangers leader. The four levels of completion within t h e O L T i n c l u d e Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

The organizational leadership training requirements consist of 6 components: educational requirements, a leadership d e v e l o p m e n t s e m i n a r, s e r v i c e requirements, reading assignments, p e r s o n a l g o a l s e t t i n g a n d a n organizational leadership seminar.

Educational requirements consist of three options: complete Berean School of the Bible courses through Global University, complete district School of Ministry courses or complete an AA or higher degree in Biblical Studies from an accredited Bible college or university (such as Southwestern Assemblies of God University).

Upon the completion of the educational and other requirements, a student can apply to earn a diploma in Royal Rangers Organizational Leadership.

Since the inception of the OLT in 2010, two leaders from South Texas Royal Rangers have completed their diploma: Rev. Ryan Beaty and Jason Bone. As South Texas Royal Rangers continues to grow, an emphasis to complete the OLT requirements within the organizational leadership ranks has grown. Many of the district Royal Rangers leadership team have begun to take correspondence courses through Global University with hopes of completing their diplomas within the next few years.

The Church Ministries & Discipleship Department would like to wish each of you a Merry Christmas. We pray that God will bless you during the holiday season. We look forward to seeing what the New Year holds in 2014. Remember to send BGMC offerings directly to the National Office. Save the date, March 4-5, 2014 for the 7:14 Prayer Conference. The prayer conference will be held on the Southwestern Assemblies of God University campus. Come be part of a life-changing event and experience for yourself why nearly 2,000 people attended last year.

Speakers will include Dr. George O. Wood, general superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Rich Wilkerson, Jr., Denny Duron, and Joe Champion. Worship will be led by the Desperation Band. Listen to Dr. Wood’s opening sermon from last year’s conference, “Praying in the Spirit.”

This is an exciting opportunity to gather with other like-minded, Spirit-empowered people to intentionally seek the face of God. You will be challenged and encouraged as you hear how God is using the AG to change the lives of people and entire communities around the world.

Check out www.714movement.com in the coming weeks for information about housing, registration, and more!

Access South TexasKeeping our district ministers & ministries connected!

We are improving and updating ACCESS SOUTH TEXAS. Today’s technology changes fast and we all have to keep learning and adapting to make the best use of available resources. Our goal is to provide our ministers and ministries with the best possible online experience and to develop at a pace that keeps up with advancements yet still allows users to adapt to newer technologies.

ACCESS SOUTH TEXAS is our online tool that keeps us connected with District calendars and events, allows you to donate with convenient online giving, and use online event registrations. Using your account, you can track your giving to the district, find another minister on the directory, update your contact information and more. When you use ACCESS SOUTH TEXAS it helps us all stay better connected and keeps your information up to date.

Another tool is our Church Life app for mobile devices. This app works in conjunction with your ACCESS SOUTH TEXAS account and our South Texas District’s database. Using the Church Life app you can look up another minister or a church in our district, look at our district calendar of events, and coming in January, you’ll be able to use the Church Life app for minister’s tithes and other donations. Imagine how great it will be to give your offering at District Council using your phone. Get the Church Life App for free from your app store, available for either ios or android devices.

Higher security, improved transaction processing and the addition of a mobile device giving option are valuable upgrades for our district. Please contact us if you need any assistance with these tools. (email: [email protected] )

NOTE: Due to recent upgrades by MicroSoft(R) our district’s website (www.stxag.org) may not operate correctly using Internet Explorer 10. Try running Internet Explorer in compatibility mode or use one of these browsers; Safari, Google Chrome, or Firefox. Our website will work in older versions of Internet explorer. Our website will be upgraded to work with Internet Explorer 10 and future upgrades made by any of the four main browser providers.

For those who use recurring giving, please see the letter below.

Thank you for being a faithful contributor by using your Access South Texas Online Recurring Giving option.

We are upgrading our online giving system which will include improved processing, security, and the addition of mobile device giving, through our Church Life App.*

This update will take place on January 2, 2014. For recurring online giving you will be asked to enter your method of payment (debit/credit card or electronic check) and account number. Also, please confirm your desire to continue your recurring online giving. Just re-set your recurring contributing information: the amount and how often.

Please do not make any changes before January 2, 2014. Our current online giving will be fully operational through January 1.

Thank you again for your continued faithfulness to the Lord and to your South Texas District.

Your Fellow Servant,

Don K. Wiehe

December is a month when we all focus on giving gifts to people we love. One of the most important things we can do is remember the missionaries we support during this season. We currently have two urgent opportunities that we need your help with. Two of our South Texas Missionaries are in desperate need of STL Vehicles. The total amount needed to fund these two projects is $35,000. If every church in South Texas gave $100 it would meet the need and enable these two ministries to continue uninterrupted. Please consider giving your youth group and church an opportunity to participate in giving a gift that has eternal implications.  We want to remind you that all STL Offerings must be post marked to our office or to the National STL Office no later than December 31st in order to qualify for 2013 giving credit. Thank you for the generosity that you have shown throughout this year. You have helped equip Nestor Medina with a sound system in Nicaragua for evangelistic crusades, Teen Challenge in San Antonio and Houston, Ernie Peacock in Spain, Stancle Williams with South Texas Youth Alive, and s e v e r a l o t h e r S o u t h Te x a s Missionaries. Your giving is impacting lives for the Kingdom.  We invite you to be a part of our STL Tou r. Josh Hoogendoo rn , ou r Missionary to Egypt and the Live Dead Project will be with us. We invite every Senior Pastor, Youth Pastor, and Spouses to join us for a Lunch or Dinner (depending on your section). Because we are catering meals for each section we ask that you please RSVP on our website. There’s also a video that explains some exciting new things we are doing at the STL Tour. You must register to attend.
