In the 18th century the Washington’s celebrated Christmas with family at Mount Vernon, which was a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of working life. We will see the estate modestly decorated for the holiday season. This afternoon we arrive in Williamsburg and check in to our hotel. As we stroll along the streets we will feel the excitement of “Christmas Past” while period costumed guides and craftsmen recreate the colonial style of life. This evening would not be complete without an included traditional dinner at The King’s Arms Tavern and caroling at the Courthouse.
