Our Daily Itinerary

Day 1 Home / Washington, DC - Dinner & Illumination Tour in Washington, DC Welcome to our nation’s capital, Washington, DC. The holiday spirit can be seen throughout the city as we transfer to our hotel. We will meet our traveling companions at 6:00 p.m. for a welcome dinner. Later, we will enjoy the beauty of the Nation’s Capital monuments and memorials bathed in light on an Illumination Tour. (D)

Day 2 Mount Vernon and The Grand Illumination Leaving DC behind today, we go to Mount Vernon, the home of George and Martha Washington. In the 18th century the Washington’s celebrated Christmas with family at Mount Vernon, which was a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of working life. We will see the estate modestly decorated for the holiday season. This afternoon we arrive in Williamsburg and check in to our hotel. After a time to relax enjoy a Special Included Please Go Away™ Vacations “FEATURE” BONUS: A WELCOME TO WILLIAMSBURG DINNER. Day 3 Celebrate Christmas Past at Colonial Williamsburg For nearly a century Williamsburg was the social, cultural and political center of a fledgling nation. To re-create an early American atmosphere, all 88 public buildings have been restored to their original state. Christmas in Williamsburg is an experience to be cherished. Christmas traditions have been handed down over generations. As we stroll along the streets we will feel the excitement of “Christmas Past” while period costumed guides and craftsmen recreate the colonial style of life. This evening would not be complete without an included traditional dinner at The King’s Arms Tavern and caroling at the Courthouse. (B,D)

Day 4 Historic Jamestowne and Yorktown Today we visit Historic Jamestowne, the site of the first permanent English settlement in North America. Here, we see the ruins of the original 1607 James Fort and the restored Jamestown Church. At Jamestown Settlement the story of these 17th century Virginia colonists will come to life. In
