To Stuff or Not To Stuff...Stuffing the turkey increases cooking time, which dries out the bird. Instead why not try placing two lemon halves, some fresh bay leaves and a small onion into the cavity.

Rest is essential...

It is essential to rest your turkey for 30-45mins before carving.

Put the bird in a warm place, tented with foil. It won't get cold - but it will become juicier and easier to carve.

Turkey is sold in many different formats & cuts. Here is a quick and simple guide to help you through the decision making process...

1. Turkey CrownCrowns are basically a whole turkey with the legs and wings removed to give you a joint of white breast meat on the bone. Quicker to cook and easy to carve.

2. Whole Turkey Comes whole including giblets. Perfect for a traditional Christmas centrepiece. A whole turkey is also the most economical.

3. ButterflyA butterfly joint is the same as a breast joint, however, this one is split down the middle and opened out. This allows you to add your own stuffing.

4. Boneless TurkeyBoneless turkey joints don’t require any prep and are the easiest turkeys to cook.

5. SaddleA turkey saddle is a boneless version of a turkey crown. Remove outer packaging and place saddle breast side down in a roasting tin.
