Angels we have heard on high, Sweetly singing o'er the plains

And the mountains in reply Echoing their joyous strains. Gloria ...

Chorus: Gloria, In Excelsius Deo Gloria, In Excelsius Deo

Shepherd why this jubilee, Why your joyous strains prolong

What the gladsome tidings be, Which inspire your heavenly song?

Come to Bethlehem and see, Him whose birth the angels sing

Come adore on bended knee, Christ the Lord the newborn king.

See him in a manger laid, Whom the choirs of angels praise

Mary, Joseph, lend your aid, While our hearts in love we raise.

It Came Upon The Midnight Clear Edmund H. Sears(1810-1876), 1849

It came upon the midnight clear, That glorious song of old,

From angels bending near the earth, To touch their harps of gold:

"Peace on the earth, goodwill to men From heavens all gracious King!" The world in solemn stillness lay

To hear the angels sing.

Still through the cloven skies they come, With peaceful wings unfurled;

And still their heavenly music floats O'er all the weary world:

Above its sad and lowly plains They bend on hovering wing,

And ever o'er its Babel sounds The blessed angels sing.

O ye, beneath life's crushing load Whose forms are bending low,

Who toil along the climbing way With painful steps and slow

Look now! for glad and golden hours Come swiftly on the wing;

O rest beside the weary road and hear the angels sing.

Joy To The World Isaac Watts{1674-1748)

... Joy to the world! The Lord is com~ •

Let earth receive her King \ Let every heart

Prepare Him room And Saints and angels sing And Saints and angels sing

And Saints and Saints and angels sing

Joy to the world, the Saviour reigns Let Saints their songs employ

While fields and floods rocks, hills and plains

Repeat the sounding joy Repeat the sounding joy

Repeat, Repeat, the sounding joy

Joy to the world with truth and grace And makes the nations prove

The glories of His righteousness And wonders of His love And wonders of His love

And wonders and wonders of His love

He rules the world with truth and grace, And gives to nations proof

The glories of His righteousness, And wonders of His love; And wonders of His love;

And wonders, wonders of His love.

Christmas Time Is Here

Christmas time is here Happiness and cheer

Fun for all that children call Their favorite time of the year

Snowflakes in the air Carols everywhere

Olden times and ancient rhymes Of love and dreams to share

Sleigh bells in the air Beauty everywhere

Yuletide by the fireside And joyful memories there

Christmas time is here We'll be drawing near

Oh, that we could always see Such spirit through the year

Oh, that we could always see Such spirit through the year ...

The First Noel English carol 17th century

The first Noe6h ~gels did say Was to certain oor shepherds

in fields as they lay, In fields where they lay

keeping their sheep On a cold winter's night

that was so deep. Noel Noel Noel Noel!

Born is the King of Israel!

They looked up and saw a star Shining in the East beyond them far, And to the earth it gave great light,

And so it continued both day and night. Noel Noel Noel Noel!

Born is the King of Israel!

And by the light of that same star Three wise men came from country far,

To seek for a King was their intent And to follow the star wherever it went.

Noel Noel Noel Noel! Born is the King of Israel!

This star drew nigh to the northwest Over Bethlehem it took its rest,

And there it did both stop and stay Right over the place where Jesus lay.

Noel Noel Noel Noel! Born is the King of Israel!

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

Have yourself a merry little Christmas. Let your heart be light,

From now on our troubles Will be out of sight.

Have yourself a merry little Christmas, Make the Yule-tide gay,

From now on our troubles Will be miles away.

Here we are as in olden days, Happy golden days of yore,

Faithful friends who are dear to us Gather near to us once more.

Through the years We all will be together

If the Fates allow, Hang a shining star

On the highest bough, And have yourself

A merry little Christmas now

O Christmas Tree: Lyrics

O Christmas Tree! 0 Christmas Tree! Thy leaves are so unchanging;

O Christmas Tree! 0 Christmas Tree! Thy leaves are so unchanging;

Not only green when summer's here, But also when 'tis cold and drear.

O Christmas Tree! 0 Christmas Tree! Thy leaves are so unchanging!

O Christmas Tree! 0 Christmas Tree! Much pleasure thou can'st give me;

O Christmas Tree! 0 Christmas Tree! Much pleasure thou can'st give me; How often has the Christmas tree

Afforded me the greatest glee! O Christmas Tree! 0 Christmas Tree!

Much pleasure thou can'st give me.

O Christmas Tree! 0 Christmas Tree! How richly God has decked thee!

O Christmas Tree! 0 Christmas Tree! How richly God has decked thee! Thou bidst us true and faithful be,

I Saw Three Ships

I saw three ships come sailing in, On Christmas Day, on Christmas Day;

I saw three ships come sailing in, On Christmas Day in the morning.

And what was in those ships all three, On Christmas Day, on Christmas Day? And what was in those ships all three,

On Christmas Day in the morning?

Mary mild and Christ were there, On Christmas Day, on Christmas Day;

Mary mild and Christ were there, On Christmas Day in the morning. And all the bells on earth did ring,

On Christmas Day, on Christmas Day; And all the bells on earth did ring, On Christmas Day in the morning.

And all the Angels in Heav•n did sing, On Christmas Day, on Christmas Day; And all the Angels in Heav•n did sing,

On Christmas Day in the morning. Then let us all rejoice again,

On Christmas Day, on Christmas Day; Then let us all rejoice again,

On Christmas Day in the morning!

Frosty The Snowman

Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul

With a corncob pipe and a button nose

and two eyes made out of coal

Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale they say

He was made of snow but the children

know how he came to life one day

There must have been some magic in that

old silk hat they found For when they placed it on

his head he began to dance around

Oh Frosty the snowman

was alive as he could be And the children say he

could laugh and play just the same as

you and me Thumpetty thump thump thumpety thump thump

Look at Frosty go Thumpetty thump thump thumpety thump thump Over the hills of snow

Frosty the snowman knew the suri was hot that day So he said "Let's run and

we'll have some fun now before I melt away

" Down to the village with a broomstick in his hand

Running here and there all around the square saying

Catch me if you can

He led them down the streets of town

right to the traffic cop And he only paused a

moment when he heard him holler "Stop!"

For Frosty the snow man had to hurry on his way But he waved goodbye

saying "Don't you cry

I'll be back again some day

" Thumpetty thump thump thumpety thump thump

Look at Frosty go

Thumpetty thump thump thumpety thump thump

Over the hills of snow

Christmas for Cowboys

Tall in the saddle we spend Christmas Day, Drivin' the cattle on the snow-covered plains.

All of the good gifts given today; Ours is the sky and the wide open range.

Back in the cities, they have diff'rent ways, Football and eggnog and Christmas parades.

I'll take the blanket; I'll take the reins; Christmas for cowboys and wide open plains.

A campfire for warmth as we stop for the night; The stars overhead are the Christmas-tree lights, The wind sings a hymn as we bow down to pray; Christmas for cowboys and the wide open range.

It's tall in the saddle we spend Christmas Day, Drivin' the cattle on the snow-covered plains.

So many gifts have been opened today; Ours is the sky and the wide open range,

It's Christmas for cowboys and wide open plains.

The Christmas Song

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire Jack Frost nipping at your nose

Yuletide carols being sung by a choir And folks dressed up like eskimos

Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe Help to make the season bright

Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow Will find it hard to sleep tonight

They know that Santa's on his way He's bringing lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh

And every mother's child is gonna spy To see if reindeer really know how to fly

And so I'm offering this simple phrase To kids from one to ninety-two

Although it's been said many times, many ways Merry Chrismas to you

And so I'm offering this simple phrase To kids from one to njnety-two

Although it's been said many times, many ways Merry Chrismas to you

Words and music by Mel Torme and A.Wells

One Small Child

One small child in a land of a thousand. One small dream of a savior tonight.

One small hand reaching out to the starlight. One small savior of life. Ooh.

One king bringing his gold and riches. One king ruling and army of might.

One king kneeling with incense and candlelight. One king bringing us life. Ooh.

(chorus) See Him lying, a cradle beneath Him.

See Him smiling in the stall. See His mother praising the Father.

See His tiny eyelids fall. See the shepherds kneeling before Him.

See the kings on bended knee. See the mother praising the Father.

See the blessed infant sleep.

One small child in a land of a thousand. One small dream of a savior tonight.

One small hand reaching out to the starlight. One small savior of life.

Auld Lang Syne

chorus: Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind?

Should auld acquaintance be forgot and days of auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear, For auld lang syne,

We'll take a cup o' kindness yet For auld lang syne

When mistletoe and tinsel glow Paint a yuletide valentine

Back home I go to those I know For a Christmas auld lang syne.

And as we gather 'round the tree Our voices all combine

In sweet accord to thank the Lord For a Christmas auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear, for auld lang syne We'll take a cup o' kindness yet, for auld lang syne

When sleigh bells ring and choirs sing And the children's faces shine

With each new toy we share their joy With a Christmas auld lang syne.

We sing His praise this day of days And pray next year this time

We'll all be near to share the cheer Of a Christmas auld lang syne.

Winter Wonderland

Sleigh bells ring are you listening in the lane snow is glistening

A beautiful sight we're happy tonight walking in a winter wonderland

Gone away is the bluebird here to stay is a new bird

He sings a love song as we go along walking in a winter wonderland

In the meadow we can build a snowman Then pretend that he is Parson Brown

He'll say: Are you married? we'll say: No man

But you can do the job when you're in town

Later on we'll conspire as we dream by the fire

To face unafraid the plans that we've made

walking in a winter wonderland

In the meadow we can build a snowman and pretend that he's a circus clown

We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman until the all the kids knock him down

When it snows ain't it thrilling Though your nose gets a chilling

We'll frolic and play the Eskimo way walking in a winter wonderland Walking in a winter wonderland walking in a winter wonderland

What Child Is This?

What child is this, who, laid to rest On Mary's lap, is sleeping?

Whom angels greet with anthems sweet While shepherds watch are keeping? '

This, th is is Christ the King, Whom shepherds guard and angels sing:

Haste, haste to bring him laud, The Babe, the Son of Mary!

So bring Him incense, gold, and myrrh , Come peasant king to own Him,

The King of kings, salvation brings, Let loving hearts enthrone Him.

Raise, raise the song on high , The Virgin sings her lullaby: Joy, joy, for Christ is born

' The Babe, the Son of Mary!

JOY to the world!

Silver Bells

City sidewalks, busy sidewalks Dressed in holiday style

In the air There's a feeling of Christmas

Children laughing People passing

Meeting smile after smile And on every street corner you'll hear

Silver bells, silver bells It's Christmas time in the city

Ring-a-ling, hear them ring Soon it will be Christmas day

Strings of street lights Even stop lights

Blink a bright red and green As the shoppers rush

Home with their treasures

Hear the snow crunch See the kids bunch

This is Santa's big scene And above all this bustle you'll hear

Silver bells, silver bells It's Christmas time in the city

Ring-a-ling, hear them ring Soon it will be Christmas day

Rocking around the Christmas Tree

Rocking around the Christmas Tree at the Christmas party hop

Mistletoe hung where you can see Every couple tries to stop

You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear voices singing, "Let's be jolly!

Deck the halls with boughs of holly!"

Rocking around the Christmas Tree Have a happy holiday

Everyone's dancing merrily In the new old-fashioned way

Rocking around the Christmas Tree Let the Christmas Spirit ring

Later we'll have some pumpkin pie and we'll do some caroling

You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear voices singing, "Let's be jolly!

Deck the halls with boughs of holly!"

Rocking around the Christmas Tree Have a happy holiday

Everyone's dancing merrily In the new old-fashioned way

Let It Snow

Oh the weather outside is frightful But the fire is so delightful

And since we've no place to go Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

It doesn't show signs of stopping And I've bought some corn for popping

The lights are turned way down low Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

When we finally kiss goodnight How I'll hate going out in the storm!

But if you'll really hold me tight All the way home I'll be warm

The fire is slowly dying And, my dear, we're still goodbying

But as long as you love me so Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

Jingle Bells

Dashing through the snow In a one-horse open sleigh Through the fields we go

Laughing all the way. Bells on bob-tail ring Making spirits bright

What fun it is to ride and sing A sleighing song tonight.

chorus: Jingle bells, jingle bells Jingle all the way,

Oh what fun it is to ride In a one-horse open sleigh,

Oh Jingle bells, jingle bells Jingle all the way,

Oh what fun it is to ride In a one-horse open sleigh.

A day or two ago I thought I'd take a ride

And soon Miss Fanny Bright Was seated by my side;

The horse was lean and lank Misfortune seemed his lot, We ran into a drifted bank And there we got upsot.

A day or two ago The story I must tell

I went out on the snow And on my back I fell; A gent was riding by

In a one-horse open sleigh

He laughed at me as I there sprawling laid

But quickly drove away.

Now the ground is white, Go it while you're young,

Take the girls along And sing this

sleighing song. Just bet a bob-tailed bay, Two-forty as his speed,

Hitch him to an open sleigh and crack!

You'll take the lead.

Go, Tell It on the Mountain

Chorus: Go, tell it on the mountain,

over the hills and everywhere. Go, tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born.

While shepards kept their watching o'er silent flocks by night,

behond, throughout the heavens There shone a holy light.

*chorus*

The shepards feared and trembled when lo, above the earth

rang out the angel chorus that hailed our Saviour's birth!

*chorus*

Down in a lonely manger the humble Christ was born and God sent our salvation

'

that blessed Christmas morn. *chorus*

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

God rest ye merry, gentlemen, Let nothing you dismay,

Remember Christ our Savior Was born on Christmas day,

To save us all from Satan's pow'r When we were gone astray;

O tidings of comfort and joy, Comfort and joy,

O tidings of comfort and joy.

But when to Bethlehem they came, Where at this infant lay

They found him in a manger, Where oxen feed on hay; His mother Mary kneeling,

Unto the Lord did pray: O tidings of comfort and joy,

Comfort and joy, O tidings of comfort and joy.

Now to the Lord sing praises, All you within this place,

And with true love and brotherhood Each other now embrace;

This holy tide of Christmas All others doth deface:

O tidings of comfort and joy, Comfort and joy,

O tidings of comfort and joy.

Silent Night

Silent night! Holy night! All is calm, all is bright

round yon virgin mother and child, Holy infant so tender and mild,

sleep in Heavenly peace! sleep in Heavenly peace!

Silent night! Holy night! Shepherds quake at the sight;

glories stream from Heaven afar, Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia, Christ, the Saviour, is born! Christ, the Saviour, is born!

Silent night! Holy night! Son of God, Love's pure light

radiant beams from Thy Holy face, with the dawn of redeeming grace,

Jesus, Lord at Thy birth, Jesus, Lord at Thy birth.

Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer

Rudolph the red nose reindeer, had a very shiny nose, and if you ever saw it,

you would even say it glowed.

All of the other reindeer, used to laugh and call him names.

They never let poor Rudolph, join in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say:

11 Rudolph with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

Then all the reindeer loved him, as they shouted out with glee:

"Rudoph the Red Nose Reindeer, you'll go down in history!"

We Three Kings

We three kings of orient are, bearing gifts we traverse afar

Field and fountain,moor and mountain, following yonder star.

O star of wonder, star of night, star with royal beauty bright.

Westward leading, still proceeding, Guide us to thy perfect light.

Born a King on Bethlehem's plain, Gold I bring to crown Him again

King for ever, ceasing never over us all to reign.

O star of wonder, star of night, star with royal beauty bright.

Westward leading, still proceeding, Guide us to thy perfect light.

Frankincense to offer have I, incense owns a Deity nigh

Prayer and praising, all men raising, Worship Him, God most high.

O star of wonder, star of night, star with royal beauty bright.

Westward leading, still proceeding, Guide us to thy perfect light.

O Little Town of Bethlehem Phillips Brooks(1835-1893), 1868

O little town of Bethlehem, How still we see thee lie.

Above thy deep and dreamless sleep The silent stars go by;

Yet in thy dark streets shineth The everlasting Light;

The hopes and fears of all the years Are met in thee tonight.

For Christ is born of Mary, And, gathered all above

While mortals sleep, the angels keep Their watch of wondering love.

O morning stars, together Proclaim the holy birth.

And praises sing to God the King. And peace to men on earth.

Where children, pure and happy, Pray to the Blessed Child;

Where misery cries out to thee, Son of the Mother mild;

Where charity stands watching, And fa~holds wide the door,

The dark ni,~t wakes, the glory breaks, and Christmas comes once more.

O Come, All Ye Faithful Attributed to John Francis Wade(ca. 1711-1786)

O come, all ye faithful, Joyful and triumphant,

O come ye, 0 come ye to Bethlehem; Come and behold Him Born the King of angels;

O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him,

Christ, the Lord.

Sing, choirs of angels, Sing in exultation, Sing, all ye citizens of heaven above;

Glory to God, Glory in the highest;

O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him,

Christ, the Lord.

Yea, Lord, we greet Thee, Born this happy morning,

Jesus, to Thee be all glory given; Son of the Father, Now in flesh appearing;

O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him,

Christ, the Lord.

O Holy Night Lyrics

O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining, It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.

Long lay the world in sin and error pining. Till He appeared and the Soul felt its worth.

A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.

Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices! O night divine, the night when Christ was born;

O night, 0 Holy Night , 0 night divine! O night, 0 Holy Night , 0 night divine!

Led by the light of faith serenely beaming, With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.

O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming, Now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land.

The King of kings lay thus lowly manger; In all our trials born to be our friends.

He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger,

Behold your King! Before him lowly bend! Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!

Truly He taught us to love one another, His law is love and His gospel is peace.

Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother. And in his name all oppression shall cease.

Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we, With all our hearts we praise His holy name. Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we,

His power and glory ever more proclaim! His power and glory ever more proclaim!

Away In a Manger

Away in a manger, no crib for His bed, The little Lord Jesus

laid down His sweet head; The stars in the sky

looked down where He lay, The little Lord Jesus~ asleep on the hay: __ I . _ \r.

The cattle are lowing, the poor Baby wakes,

But little Lord Jesus, no crying He makes.

I love Thee, Lord Jesus; look down from the sky And stay by my cradle till morning is nigh.

Be near me, Lord Jesus; I ask Thee to stay

Close by me forever and love me I pray!

Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care,

And fit us for Heaven to live with Thee there.

We Wish You a Merry Christmas

We wish you a Merry Christmas; We wish you a Merry Christmas; We wish you a Merry Christmas

and a Happy New Year. Good tidings we bring to you and your kin;

Good tidings for Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Oh, bring us a figgy pudding; Oh, bring us a figgy pudding; Oh, bring us a figgy pudding

and a cup of good cheer.

We won't go until we get some; We won't go until we get some; We won't go until we get some,

so bring some right here.

We wish you a Merry Christmas; We wish you a Merry Christmas; We wish you a Merry Christmas

and a Happy New Year.
