The vision for Christ to the World Ministries. SIMPLY PUT: To take the gospel of Christ to people everywhere, in ways they can understand, where they live.
Jesus said : “MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS.” This is our compass as we share the gospel of Jesus Christ with people throughout much of the world where they live and in ways they can understand.
As we begin our 6th year, my heart-felt appreciation to all on our Min-istry team, prayer partners, and to those who have laid up their treasures’supporting this direct effort to reach many for Christ. We are currently broadcasting the drama stories of Jesus in 21 countries across Asia, far eastern Europe, and the Middle East representing a population of 3 billion people. China, Indonesia, Russia, Korea, Cambodia, Mongolia, Pakistan, India, and many of the former Russian controlled countries are listening and responding to the Gospel stories of Jesus. We know from listener feedback that Christians in these countries who listen to these simple and compelling drama stories and access our Bible study guides are coming to a deeper relationship with Christ. Also, non-Christians and athe-ists are accepting Christ as Lord and Savior. Many accept and understand the relevance of Jesus in their lives. Many people face difficulties from their families who are often intolerant and hostile to the new believer. I hope you will join me in daily prayer for the many people who face these difficulties.
In this issue of Mission Update, I want to share our plans to expand the outreach of our Ministry in 2010.
Meetings in the south of England this month with Broadcasting Directors and leaders from Bangladesh, UAE, Sudan, Ethiopia, Iraq, South Africa, Mozambique, Malawi, and Pakistan have set our course to expand this Ministry’s outreach in 2010. God’s hand is touching many people throughout this area of the world. We are privi-leged to join hands in partnership with Broadcasting partners who have a heart and passion to share Christ in difficult and challenging situations. Our plans will take the Gospel of Jesus through local radio to millions of people-- many who have not heard the stories of Jesus and many will respond and accept Jesus as their Savior. We are blessed to be a part of casting the net far and wide in Jesus’ name.

I - A Group of Special People continue to work
with our Ministry team to develop a concept curriculum and program series which is focused at a vast Muslim culture in many Arab countries across the Middle East, Af-rica, and part of Central Asia. These topical programs are being cast in a contemporary setting dealing with everyday issues. We know from feedback received from many of our program producers that relating
the message and central truths of Jesus teachings in relevant cultural formats increases the hopes that Muslim listeners will be more open to accepting Jesus as Savior. Maybe one day we will know just how many people are listening to the stories of Jesus in many of the Muslim based cultures.
Our Senior Editor, Dr. Art Criscoe, is developing a program curriculum based on Jesus’ “Sermon on the Mount.” We will continue to broadcast our drama stories of Jesus. Connecting the listener to Jesus in an oral, storying way is effective. As we reach deeper into the Muslim world, we know that many Muslims repect Jesus teachings, and for many, they have only heard of Jesus from a Muslim perspective. We believe this special program series will open the minds and hearts for many people in these countries to know Jesus and his teachings from the “Sermon on the
Mount” from a Christian point of view.
KAZAKHSTAN: I recently received word from our Director from Almaty. We finally have our production team in place. They have completed and begun broad-casting the drama series, “Persons Who Met Jesus.” Please pray for our partners and for the Kazakh people. There is hope in Christ, and this is a land in which people need to claim the hope and salvation
found only in Christ.
PAKISTAN : We are working to add the Pashto language produced from our studios in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. This language is widely used and understood by the Taliban, Al Qaeda, and people in the tribal regions between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
TO EFFECTIVELY REACH THE 1.5 BILLION MUSLIMS throughout Africa, Middle East, Asia, and Indonesia in practical and culturally relevant ways will take a creative approach. To make the case for how the Christian faith offers a clear vision with deep truths and hope differing from Islam is a tremendous challenge and opportunity. It will be expensive and difficult, but with God’s direc-tion and through our hope and faith, it is possible. Please be generous with your prayers and resources.
Larry Alston
