The principle:

„Time saving through asymmetrical

brush arrangement“

In our fast moving days the time-saving factor hasbecome the dominant criterion when purchasing abus wash unit. This applies both to private coachcompanies and public transportation services.

The logically conceived asymmetrical arrangementof the wash brushes takes this trend into accountwhile equally achieving superb wash results. Vehi-cles are washed without interruption also serving toreduce operation costs to a minimum. This is espe-cially valuable when washing in shift operation.

This unit`s frame parts, swivel arms and spray ar-ches are made entirely of galvanized steel to assurethe longevity of these durable goods.

The stationary bus wash unit can alternativelybe obtained in corrosion resistant refined steel, known as the ECOBUS DURA.

Wash sequence ECOBUS:The bus drives into the wash unit.

Step 1: The bus presses the rotating wash brushes, located in the centre position, outwards while movingforward through the unit and in doing so washes itsfront surfaces. The first pair of brushes located in theouter position wash the vehicles side surfaces.

Step 2: The bus drives through the wash units openswivelling arms, during which the swivelling armspress onto the side of the vehicle by pneumatic con-trol. In this manner, both pairs of rotating wash brus-hes carry out the side surface wash. Once the frontwash arms are completely open, the wash arms pro-vided for the rear wash swivel in and clean from themiddle to the rear side area of the bus.

Step 3: The first pair of pneumatically controlled ro-tating wash brushes press against the rear of the ve-hicle and in doing so wash from the outside to themiddle of the vehicles rear surface. Meanwhile, thesecond wash brush pair completes the side surfacecleaning.

In the 1st cleaning sectionThe bus is watered via a stationary chemical pre-spray arch.

The side brushes also move over the centre linethrough the asymmetrical layout of the wash brushes. The front, rear and side surfaces are effi-ciently washed. Wash shadows are eliminated on the front and back. The side brushes are positioned in double bearingsin the swivelling arms.

In the 2nd cleaning sectionThe main bus wash takes place by means of thefour side brushes anchored in the main frame andwhich run on bearings in separate swivel arms. Adosing pump mixes the wash water with the sham-poo used in this cleaning section.

Depending on the type of bus, a front washarm can be additionally built on in the exten-ded design (front washer for busses with singlesided outer mirror).

In the 3rd cleaning sectionThe cleaned vehicle is sprayed down by a rinse archwith a mixture of fresh water and drying aid. The dry-ing aid is mixed with the fresh water via an allocateddosing pump.

Devices for the under-chassis wash as well asfor the high-pressure side wash can be additio-nally obtained.
