ABOUTChris O’Connor Promotions was launched in May 2006. Currently the largest independent facility owner at Manchester Utd Football Club, Chris O’Connor Promotions have their own private suites, private boxes and are the only company to be able to offer you tables in the most exclusive restaurant “The Gallery”. Chris O’Connor Promotions have been a corporate member at the MEN Arena for the last six years, owning the show suite which comprises a plush 14 seat box with its own bar facilities, food, luxury seats and access to VIP bars.

Chris O’Connor

Chris was brought up in Old Trafford and worked at the Hacienda during his early teens. While working as a roadie at the International in Manchester, Chris met the then little-known Stone Roses and became their roadie, touring with them through their early days and, subsequently, touring most of Europe with other artists. In late 2005, Chris was running a prestige car consultancy business when a client’s off-the-cuff request for a box at the MEN for his daughter’s 18th brought him a first taste of the promotions business. From this chance beginning, Chris built up his facilities throughout the UK to become the biggest independent agent at Manchester United and the MEN Arena, with offices in Manchester, Dublin and New York.

Phil Smith

Formerly Client Relationship Executive at Manchester United, Phil joined Chris O’Connor Promotions as a hospitality industry consultant advising Chris on company strategy. Phil brings with him a wealth of experience in client account management and business development. Prior to Man Utd, Phil worked in New York heading up operations for a sports development company, later moving into promotions for Nike based on the Eastern seaboard. Past clients include Budweiser, Disney Corp, Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas, Umbro and Virgin Atlantic.
