PRIZES GALOREPRIZES GALORE

The Horsham Fishing Competition is a catch and release event held on the Wimmera River in Horsham. The contest is held on Sunday of the labour day weekend in March. Free riverbank camping is available all weekend. The total prize pool is worth over $60,000.

THE COMPTHE COMP

JUNIOR & TIDDLERS

Fishing - 7.30am until 3.00pmAngling - Bank fishing only (no fishing from bridges, boats, crafts or structures)Sections - Senior (Open), Junior (5 years old to 15 years), Tiddler (under 5) NB. Juniors & Tiddlers are eligible for prizes in respective entered categories only. Juniors have the option to enter as a senior to be eligible for senior prizes.Basics - 2 Rods per entry (& max 2 hooks per rod), catch your fish and flag down a steward to register the fish.Eligible Fish - Redfin, Golden Perch, Silver Perch, Catfish & Murray CodCarp Contest Eligibility - Only carp measuring 30cm or greater will be weighed and countedPresentation Ceremony - From 3.30pm at Horsham SoundshellFull Contest Rules - Can be found on our website and will be given out with stakes. Upon competition registration a person is deemed to agree with all terms and conditions of entry.

Online Head to www.horshamfishingcomp.com.auMail Fill out entry form and post to PO Box 47, Horsham VIC 3402In Person From now until Friday 28 February: Horsham Visitor Information Centre - 20 O’Callaghan’s Parade. Open 7 days, 9am-5pm. On Sat 29 February (9am - 5pm), Sun 1 March (10am - 4pm), Mon 2 - Thurs 5 March (12 noon - 6pm) register at Horsham Apex Shed. From Friday 6 March, register at the Horsham Soundshell 9am - 9pm.

Fishing For all the fishing rules and regulations check out a full listing on our website or grab a copy of the HFC Official Rules 2020 when you pick up your stakes.Camping Riverbank camping is free in designated areas on map. Some areas have restrictions and all signs must be observed along with adherence to the HFC Official Rules 2020.

Fishing Make sure you come down to the presentation ceremony starting at 3.30pm (even if you don’t think you caught a winner for the day) with free entertainment and giveaways!!!! To enter, bring one of your rod tags down to put into the appropriately marked barrel.

Early Stake Collection: Available to those who have pre-registered prior to 5pm Friday 28 February. Pick up from 8am at Horsham APEX (Corner of Selkirk Drive & Darlot Street) on Saturday 29 February. Other: Registrations & stake pick-up from 9am. Stake pick-up during the comp weekend is from Horsham Soundshell.Pegging Your Stake - Check out the map and peg out a minimum 2.5 metres from the nearest stake in designated areas to claim your fishing spot for the day!

Horsham Showgrounds Free camping Thursday 5 to Monday

9 March thanks to the Horsham Fishing Competition.

Free Camping - About 15 kilometres of the river frontage is available for free camping (see

map). Private land (sections K, L, O, P & Q) is only accessible from 5pm Friday 6th March. PLEASE

RESPECT that the free camping is a privilege and ALL HFC Official Rules MUST be observed at all times.

Bait & food vendors available at the Horsham Soundshell during the weekend of the competition.
