CCMS - Introduction

• With the CCMS Database Planning Calendar, you can schedule and track the results of online and offline database backups

• The cost-based optimizer tool, which can be scheduled in the database calendar, enables you to update statistics on the tables that your system actually uses.

Profiling:• For fine-tuning the configuration of your Business Framework

ComponentsGraphical Control Tools:

• The CCMS offers parallel graphical monitors for carrying out administrative tasks such as starting or stopping servers, viewing logs, and checking user and workprocess activity.

System and Business Process Throughput Statistics• Provides detailed statistics for tracking system activity and for

visualizing and analyzing application-related business process activity.

• To monitor user activity in the system, and usage of output and other services tools and procedures for operating the entire R/3 environment

Up to forty SAP Systems can be monitored from a single alert monitor.

CCMS is a standard part of the SAP Basis and is available in every SAP System at no extra cost.

Provides SAP system administrators and SAP developers with a new and highly flexible working environment for system monitoring.

Instrument any SAP or external component for inclusion in the alert monitor.

Allows system administrators to intervene directly in critical situations accordingly, using the analysis methods provided by monitoring architecture.

Data Suppliers and Data Consumers Data suppliers are programs that provide data to the monitoring architecture.

Data Consumers Programs that read data from the monitoring architecture (such as the monitor sets).

API Alert monitor monitor can also be equipped as API to act as interface between System Management tool from external suppliers and CCMS
