Intro: Welcome. Thank you for taking the time to come out and support our 4 th and 5 th grade chorus students tonight. Tonight, we will be presenting a space-themed program for you. We will start by singing about the wonder and awe of space travel, then we will take you through an imaginary trip through space from Earth to Mars to Pluto and back again. We hope you enjoy! Apollo 11: Apollo 11 was the first spaceflight to land humans on the Moon almost 46 years ago. It was the first time humans set foot in space. This song begins with President John F. Kennedy’s special message to Congress on May 25 th , 1961. Get ready to hear the voice of mission control and rocket rumble as we sing “Apollo 11”! I Think My School’s a Spaceship: Imagination runs wild in the next fun song that has you thinking that our school is actually able to travel in space! Seat belts in the classroom… aliens in the gym… Teachers with their moon boots… What’s going on?? This song imitates the rumble of the rocket engine and the jolts of the take off. Here is “I Think My School’s a Spaceship”! Earthlings Unite: Our next song is a pop shuffle called “Earthlings, Unite”. It supports the message of unity; That no matter who we are or where we live, the fact of the matter is, we are indeed all earthlings. This planet is our home and our responsibility. Working together to “make things right”, as the song says, isn’t just common sense. It is literally necessary for our survival. Is There Life on Mars: Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun in our solar system. It is nicknamed “The Red Planet”. The question of the existence of life on Mars, either in the past or present, is especially on our minds. In our next song, “Is There Life on Mars”, you will hear the chorus split into two groups to create harmony together. We hope you enjoy this mysterious song. Welcome. Thank you for taking the time to come out and support our 4th and 5th grade chorus students tonight. Tonight, we will be presenting a space-themed program for you. We will start by singing about the wonder and awe of space travel, then we will take you through an imaginary trip through space from Earth to Mars to Pluto and back again. We hope you enjoy!

Apollo 11:

Apollo 11 was the first spaceflight to land humans on the Moon almost 46 years ago. It was the first time humans set foot in space. This song begins with President John F. Kennedys special message to Congress on May 25th, 1961. Get ready to hear the voice of mission control and rocket rumble as we sing Apollo 11!

I Think My Schools a Spaceship:

Imagination runs wild in the next fun song that has you thinking that our school is actually able to travel in space! Seat belts in the classroom aliens in the gym Teachers with their moon boots Whats going on?? This song imitates the rumble of the rocket engine and the jolts of the take off. Here is I Think My Schools a Spaceship!

Earthlings Unite:

Our next song is a pop shuffle called Earthlings, Unite. It supports the message of unity; That no matter who we are or where we live, the fact of the matter is, we are indeed all earthlings. This planet is our home and our responsibility. Working together to make things right, as the song says, isnt just common sense. It is literally necessary for our survival.

Is There Life on Mars:

Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun in our solar system. It is nicknamed The Red Planet. The question of the existence of life on Mars, either in the past or present, is especially on our minds. In our next song, Is There Life on Mars, you will hear the chorus split into two groups to create harmony together. We hope you enjoy this mysterious song.

Poor Little Pluto:

On August 24, 2006, the International Astronomical Union gathered to vote on the definition of a planet. The result was that our ninth planet, Pluto, was reclassified as a dwarf planet. In our next song, Poor Little Pluto, we declare that Pluto is still a planet in our hearts!

Where No One Has Gone Before:

In our last song, you will hear about spacecraft flying around Mars, Saturn, Pluto, and beyond. These spacecraft are sending communications back to Earth so we can get a better understanding of what is really out there in space. Where No One Has Gone Before is a high-energy rock song that celebrates our drive to learn, grow, and understand by focusing on modern day space travel and space exploration.
