From the editor Sara Rozalina

Several times over the last few months I’ve found myself stuck in

the past. My mind kept wish-ing for what I used to have or I wanted to fix something that became fractured. I real-ized that I was slowly wast-ing my thoughts on longing for things that were not ex-actly in my control.

In my situation the direc-tion of the wind had changed. I was trying to change that wind rather than change the one thing that I could. That one thing was how I was go-ing to react to this storm. Would I set my sail in the di-rection where it would move me forward or in a path that will make me stay stagnant?

Sometimes when life be-comes unfair, at least in our minds, the best thing you can do is what is at hand. Don’t pause your life because of one issue. If it’s somewhere you desire to go or some-thing you want to be, you will get there if you do what is at

hand. If it’s a relationship that went bad and that per-son just up and left, honey if they are meant to be in your life they will come back. I don’t care what it is – a sulky attitude and a lamenting spirit won’t get you what you want.

Firstly, do what it says in 1 Peter 5:7, “Cast all your anxieties on Him because he cares for you.” You want to come out stronger than before and show the world what you’re made off. I know that desire is in every human so don’t try to deny it. Stop thinking about “I could’ve,” “I should’ve,” “I would’ve.” That’s in the past. Be a vision-ary and look into your future. What do you see? Not sure what to do in your situation? Well it says in James 1:5, “Ask God for wisdom and He will give it to you.” For real… God will actually answer you just like He said in Jeremiah 33:3.

Generally, I’m a really quick person. My thought

process goes 300 miles an hour so sometimes I get im-patient and wonder if my “doing what is at hand” is even worth it. Why can’t I see what I want? Why this and why that? My questioning brain had to shut up and lis-ten to what God had to say. I had to trust in Him.

It says in Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”

I noticed the moment I verbally surrendered my situation to God, things were starting to happen in my fa-vor. Prayer is such a power-ful gift; I cannot stress how powerful. God can change your situation, but He wants to know that you trust Him with that situation first. In Romans 8:28 it says, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good…” The change starts with you and that’s why ev-erything is going to be al-right. ∆
