INITIAL #ChooseUP Information Event programme - 17 August 2019
1. #ChooseUP Information Event: How to plan your day Faculty programmes make provision for applicants to attend sessions in the various faculties, especially for those who have been
conditionally admitted to their second or third study choice and are awaiting feedback on their application for admission to a
selection programme. We strongly advise that you explore your options for the day very carefully by checking the times of the
sessions at the specific faculties – refer to the faculty programmes on the next page. Bus transport will be organised between
the campuses (the schedule will appear in the final programme). However, we would recommend that you make use of your own
transport. Arrive early enough to give yourself adequate time to find venues.
The programme is designed to provide you with an opportunity to attend deans’ information sessions, acquire curriculum advice,
attend example lectures, meet faculty and academic staff, complete and hand in your student contract, make initial tuition or
residence fee payment(s), take a campus tour, visit the residence you have been placed in, experience campus life, and much
