Edinburgh University Musical Medics
Charity Christmas Concert
In aid of
MSTC Lothian
7:30pm Saturday 29th November 2014 Reid Concert Hall, Edinburgh
Welcome Thank you for taking time out of your Bizet schedule to come and listen to us. We have a Verdi exciting programme for you this evening, with a mix of classical and contemporary music. Our members aren’t Haydn their talents and for the first time we have some small groups playing, as well as a wonderful bass solo. Small groups aren’t the only new development in the society this year: we are also going on tour after Christmas!
Musical Medics are delighted to be supporting the Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre Lothian this semester, and we are thrilled to have them here tonight to talk to us about what they do. There will be some homemade cakes on sale at the interval if you would like to make more of a contribution to the charity.
I would be much more Strauss-ed being president of this society without our wonderful conductors and committee. They do such a great job of keeping a Handel on the society and make sure it is running smoothly, even Vivaldi many things I keep asking them to do. Thanks guys.
Mozart the time I tell everyone how happy I am that we have a full brass section this year, but what I don’t say very often is how happy I am that the entire society has grown (even the flutes…). And so, the only thing left to say is - enjoy!
