CHOCOLATE TOOTHPICKS

Our idea Our idea is to sell peppermint creams ,in

different colours, to everyone. The profit we make will go to the project Solar Schools. Hopefully the children who we didn’t survey, will like the peppermint creams and only a handful of them are allergic to them.

Ingredients The ingredients are : 1 egg white, 1 tsp of lemon juice, 400 – 420 icing sugar plus extra , few drops of peppermint flavouring and a few drops of pink and green food colouring. Altogether they will make a delicious peppermint creams which has been taste tested with AS (not the ones the people will be having).

Cost We looked up all around the internet to find

the cheapest prices for the right ingredients. The eggs were £2.48 for 12, lemons £1 for a pack of 5, icing sugar £1 for 1kg x6, pepper mint flavouring 84p and 84p for the food colouring.

Total cost: £14.56

letterDear Mr Burford, I am writing to tell you that my group, ‘The Chocolate Toothpicks’, have decided to sell peppermint creams at the Christmas Market. You might not like these little treats, but I know lots of people who certainly do. Mr Stanley gave us some to try and we all enjoyed them very much. It will ruin your chances of higher amounts of money if you refuse this. They are a good idea because most people will enjoy eating them. We will sell them quite cheap but not too inexpensive, so people will gratefully buy at least one pack, if not more. They are very easy to make as I recall making them at the school before. Also, they will look beautifully presented with cellophane wrapping and red ribbon. We are aiming to sell 50+ packs of peppermint creams, therefore if you chose us we would start making straight away. They are very cheap to make as well. Only a fool would turn down this fabulous opportunity. People always buy sweets at Christmas, so a pack of ten is the key to their troubles! This will also raise a lot of money if people buy them for Christmas presents. To summarize, I know you will not think this a pointless idea. This is a very sensible idea and you are a very sensible man. Finally, I must ask you a question. Do you not want the school to raise money?
