In June 2006 we were

one of the first chocolatiers in Eu-

rope experimenting with a new

technology to produce chocolate

on a small scale from ground

cocoa beans.

Making our own chocolate has

allowed us to forge links with

cacao growers and to broaden our

sources for fine beans to coopera-

tives around the world.

It has deepened our understand-

ing of cocoa and utmost

respect for the people

who dedicate their

lives growing this

amazing crop.

We mix,

conche and

refine each

batch with

love and

devotion.

Our chocolate

is then

transformed into all

manners of chocolate

delights from truffles, to O´s,

pearls, couture chocolates or our

famous liquid salted caramels.

Our chocolates are fresh and will

keep for 2-3 weeks in their

original packaging.

Artisan du chocolat is proud to feature young British artists who illustrated our couture chocolates. This collection was created by Jordana Lyden-Swift who studied at Chelsea College of Art & Design before going on to complete her architectural degree at the LMU Sir John Cass Faculty of Art & Archi-tecture. She is now a senior member of Unit+, an interdisciplinary design collective based in London, working on socially driven small scale architectural design projects across Europe. However her passion for illustration has never wavered.

Jordana’s inspiration“As an artist and designer I find inspiration in everything that I encounter. The intense flavours of these chocolates were inspiration enough, and in some cases the illustrations represent simply how I feel a taste would visually manifest. Certain tastes remind me of both places and people, so many of the illustrations are reflective of these experi-ences. Hence these illustrations are a very personal collection for me that sit well with the flavours of the chocolates.”

Liquid salted caramels

N°4 is a spicy salted caramel infused with fiery Indian black peppercorns and fragrant Madagascan pink peppercorns.

N° 1Our original sea salted caramels were inven-ted in 2003 by Gerard Coleman for Gordon Ramsay’s menu at Claridges: a sweet liquid caramel with a pinch of Noirmoutier island’s grey salt, captured in a cocoa dusted shell of intense dark chocolate. The pure untreated grey salt, harvested by hand from clay marshes since medieval times, holds a wealth of minerals and trace elements that enrich its rich taste. Our most famous creation.

N° 1 milkA decade after inventing our liquid salted caramels for Gordon Ramsay at Claridge’s, we have given into our caramel fan demands for a milk chocolate version for those who prefer life a little sweeter.
