Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. Soften the butter in the microwave for about 30-40 seconds until it is in a liquid form. 3. Using a hand mixer or electric mixer, mix the butter with the brown and cane sugars until creamy. Now, add the vanilla and the egg; beat on low until well incorporated. 4. Add flour, baking soda and salt. Mix until crumbly. Now, use your hands to form a nice dough. Add the chocolate chips until incorporated. 5. Roll the dough into balls and place on a cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes until the cookies are barely golden. 6. Let cool on the pan for 30-40 minutes. Stores in air tight container for about 2 weeks. Freeze for longer shelf life.
