• Established in 1982 with the approval of the State Council
• A comprehensive research institute directly under MOST
• President:Mr. Wan Gang, Minister of the MOST and Vice-Chairman of National
Committee of the CPPCC; Executive Vice President: Wang Yuan
• Research Strength: national S & T development strategies, policies, mechanism,
management, foresight, assessment, and playing the role of S & T in facilitating social
and economic development

Beijing Greatwall Enterprise Institute (GEI)
• Founded in 1993,one of the leading think tanks in China
• Carry out research to facilitate decision making of Chinese government, Hi-tech parks
and enterprises
• President: Mr. Wang Delu, consultant of Beijing Municipal Government, senior
consulting researcher of Tsinghua University S&T Policy Research Center
• Research specialty: STI policy research, S&T park planning, start-up management,
emerging industry and innovation cluster study
