Patrons are encouraged to double-check dates and times on their tickets or class receipts. Take all three movies in the Dark Knight Trilogy, pack them into about an hour, throw in a whole lot of comedy, and you have One Man Dark Knight Trilogy, A Batman Parody, a hilarious spoof on the Christopher Nolan Batman films that’s definitely not so serious. One Man Dark Knight Trilogy, A Batman Parody is actor and comedian Charles Ross’ latest addition to live film parodies, and it might be his best yet! On March 4 the show’s making a stop at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre. Ross is known for his spoofs of Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, and has been performing since 2002. “I started off doing a show called One Man Star Wars Trilogy, which is basically me on stage, no costume, no set, no props, just me doing the Star Wars trilogy, the original one, then I did One Man Lord of the Rings,” he said in an interview with Global’s Cole Deakin. One Man Dark Knight Trilogy, A Batman Parody is Ross’ third self-written production. “It’s neat to come up with a new show, I’m going to make it my trilogy of trilogies,” he said. “Even though e Dark Knight series finished in 2012, it’s taken me a couple years to get ready to do it.” Ross always knew he loved Star Wars and acting and in university he finally had the opporutnity to bring the two together. With the help of fellow actor, writer, and director TJ Dawes, he starred in One Man Star Wars. Ross and Dawes have been an unstoppable force ever since, and Dawes has directed five of Ross’ plays. Ross’ shows have garnered much more success than the duo expected, bringing him from the Sydney Opera House, to performing off-Broadway, and just about everywhere in between. “at’s the thing about these big sort of intellectual properties — Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Batman — they’re worldwide,” Ross said. Once again, One Man Dark Knight Trilogy, A Batman Parody is Ross condensing an entire trilogy into one show, but with a comedic twist. “It’s the Christopher Nolan Batman films; It’s just the story of Batman, how he becomes Batman, how he takes on the Joker and then eventually kind of has his back broken and has to rise back up again,” he explained. “It’s me again, on stage, no costume, no set, no props, doing the entire eight hours of film in a condensed form” Whether you’ve seen the Dark Knight Trilogy before or not, One Man Dark Knight Trilogy, A Batman Parody will be a ride through Gotham you’ll never forget — and a side-splitting one as well. Spring Break

Kaleidoscope of Colourpresented by the Golden Palette Club

February 23 – April 1, 2017A perfect title for our exhibit as its definition is: a variegated changing of patterns or scenes. Be prepared to be amazed! Due to the varied backgrounds, personalities, artistic skills and endeavors of our members, this will be a kaleidoscope of images.

There will be some visionary, some ingenious, some fanciful, some whimsical, some unconventional, and some realism. All combined to create a fantastic exhibition of “happy art.”

The Golden Palette Club was started in the early 1970’s by a group of 7 enthusiastic artists.

Since its inception the club has had no shortage of artists wishing to become members. Of course the membership continues to change for whatever reason. New members soon become part of the group as if they have always been there. Our members are a very diversified group in many ways and we work in a variety of mediums.

Reception: Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 1:00 to 3:00pmGallery Hours: Wednesday to Saturday noon to 5pm, one hour prior to evening shows.
