The next Men’s Fellowship supper will be Tuesday, August 8, at 7PM. The theme of this meeting is Father/Son/Daughter night but everyone is welcome! Mike Rollins will be the program speaker and will provide an update on Splash in the Boro. We look forward to seeing everyone in the Fellowship Hall on August 8.

First Sundays are for Food BankPlease note your calendars for the first Sunday of each month, and bring non-perishable food for the Statesboro Food Bank. Thanks for having big hearts SFUMC!

Getting Ready for Operation Christmas ChildOur church will be participating in Operation Christmas Child this fall. Please save your shoeboxes and take advantage of the back-to-school sales going on now - crayons, colored pencils, note pads, rulers, pencils, erasers, etc. More information will be provided in the upcoming weeks.

School Supplies Soup Kitchen a Success!THANK YOU to all, but especially to the children and adults who worked the School Supplies Soup Kitchen. We dealt with a larger than anticipated crowd of our needy neighbors, who left, even after our running out of some supplies, with help for the new school year. Good education is important in their steps upward out of poverty. Your continued donations will be gratefully received in the crate under the stairs for use later this year or for the School Supplies Soup Kitchen next year; the best school supplies bargains are just starting to appear.
