The Dallas County Children's Advocacy Council will provide a community training about child sexual abuse exploitation and human trafficking Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 12:00-3:00 at Memorial Hall, 15102 Walnut Street in Dallas Center Iowa 50063.RSVP is required as space is limited. There is very limited seating of 5o participants, you are encouraged to register early.

There is very limited seating of 5o participants, you are encouraged to register early. Who can attend? Human service providers, school, faith, education, health, parents, and interested persons. Why should you attend? You will be provided with tools to assist you in identifying who might be a target in child sexual exploitation and human trafficking, where they look for their victims and how the public and various agencies can assist in this growing issue. 12:30 -1:00 Information and Celebration Learn about current child abuse statistics and prevention efforts in Dallas County. There will also be an election of Dallas County Children's Advocacy officers. 1:00 – 3:00 Featured Speaker/Trainer - Michael J. Ferjack From the Iowa Department of Justice-Office of the Attorney General Mr. Ferjack will be the guest speaker. He has trained investigators and agents throughout the United States and Canada on interview, interrogation and investigative techniques and has served on the adjunct faculty of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. He is an invited guest lecturer at Drake University’s Law School speaking on sex crimes, sexual predators and human trafficking issues and is an adjunct professor for three Iowa College and University criminal justice programs. Mike has been called as an expert to testify before the Iowa Legislature and the United States Congress on the topic of Human Trafficking.
